Hey, I think this could be good.
I watched the original V and thought the acting was pretty bad and the story pretty silly. Having said that, I also admit to watching every episode and its reruns.
So I’ll definitely give it a try, especially since Morena Baccarin is in it.
I will watch it more for Elizabeth Mitchell. To be honest Morena Baccarin really has never done much for me. She is a decent actor but in the looks department there is much much better. Also its gonna have Alan Tudyc and the main guy from The 4400. I look forward to it even if i am not expecting that much. The original was really silly. I watched it but didnt feel the need to continue the series. My biggest problem is that this super alien race has the tech that allows them to travel the galaxy (at a minimum) but they have not found a way to get water easily. I think i would smell a trap from the start.
there was another SciFi show that sounds like that… what was it… the original was Silly…no need to continue the show…re-imagined… it’s on the tip of my tongue…
I agree, this looks promising.
As a side note however, not that long ago I applied a similar reasoning when I tried to watch Sands of Oblivion because it also happened to star Adam Baldwin and was free to watch instantly on Netflix - I thought, how bad could it really be? I guess I had forgotten what “Sci-fi Original Movie” meant. 
Joel Gretsch? He’s William Shatner’s son-in-law. That’s like sci-fi royalty.
It is amazing how often I will find myself watching a promo for a movie and think…‘oh, that might be ok on a movie watching evening’ then the words SCIFI ORIGINAL MOVIE come up… ‘oh, i can watch something else.’
I learned long ago that they will throw money at an actor with a bit of a following to try and get us to watch… don’t forget you will never get those two hours back…ever.

I’m really hhoping for something at least a little darker than the original. Which, for it’s time, was kinda dark (until they did the series…that was a waste). Doesn;t have to be BSG-ified…just a little more dramatic…

Damn, I liked that show. Ok, it was a bit silly, but I liked it anyway.
In this case, Scifi only sucked away 30 minutes of my life.
It was a very early '80s NBC mini-series. I think you’re expectations may have been a little high.
Luckily my Expectations of Anything that SYFY produces can not be considered High… I will come in low, and hope i am surprised.

This is going to be “re-imagined” ? Sadly, the most memorable thing about the show, for me, is the vegetarian repilitian dude. 
Yah, probably, but it didn’t stop me from watching it, did it?

I didn’t see anyone mention this, and figured I’d put it here since Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk are involved. I didn’t even recognize Morena with the short hair even though I recognized her voice. Can’t wait. Morena looks sooooo hot.
