Thanks for posting these clips. I had not seen clips yet, and had not planned on watching V.
Now…I’ll give it a try. Definitely looks like it could be a great new series.
Where and when is V being shown. I like the old version. The new looks cool.
ETA: Do think that it is kinda funny in the description where they say “Today, the world woke up to find spaceships over every major city.” I guess the places that woke up to them didn’t want to spread the word around the globe to the other places that hadn’t woken up yet… Nitpicky I know, but funny to me.
Well, it said ‘today,’ so maybe they took 24 hours positioning the spaceships…

With the way TV’s going these days, it’ll probably be put on Friday nights and get canceled after 8 episodes.
Sorry, I’m just bitter at the recent cancellations and compromises for the scripted shows, and I’m still missing BSG.
Oh, and BTW, why does “canceled” have one “l”, but “cancellations” has two? Sometimes I despise the written English language.
I liked “V” back in the day, and I’m hopeful this will be as entertaining.

All languages have whacky inconsistencies. Alphabetical writing systems never handle accents, dialects, or sound shifts well. Non-alphabetical languages don’t have these problems, they have problems all their own. Witness some recent attempts to “clean up” Chinese, which is completely not alphabetical. And let’s not get into Egyptian Hieroglyphs.
The problem is people. No two persons speak exactly the same language or speak it exactly the same way. Except Esperanto.

I’m glad to see Morena Baccarin will be back on TV, but I have to remain skeptical. The first clip looks like a very strange collaboration between Lifetime and the SciFi channel (sorry, SYFY). The second clip, well, that one looks more promising. We’ll see.
I hope it’s good, though. If it is, I’ll make sure to stay away from it. All of the shows I like get cancelled (cf. “The Unusuals,” which I’d JUST started getting into).

There are two in the British spelling. The same goes for “travel” and “level” and other similar words. The American spelling makes no sense, so I just use the British ones. /soapbox
