One of the reporters at Anna’s first press conference asked about their similarities. One reporter did say “Our scientists say it’s impossible.” So there you go.
Anna said, “Our scientists can explain it.” Would be funny if in a future episode his/her name is Hodgkin. ^^
I just noticed when the kids landed on the mothership, there’s something that resembles guns or rocket launchers stationary in the upper left, but aimed at the shuttle.
Those were just t-shirt cannons in case anyone wanted souvenirs.
I think that a Visitor wearing Mike’s face tried to assassinate someone in the short-lived series, as a way to discredit him.
LOL 
Which is probably why they declared scientists the enemies, since most of them were brighter than him.
