I had low expectations, but they far exceeded them. I’m glad I watched.
True, but he’s snarky remark in the preview implied it was the same one.
It appears that no one in either version of V paid any attention to Carl Sagan in Cosmos saying that it’s highly improbable that life could evolve on another planet that would be even remotely similar to humans.

Actually, there was some mention of the unlikelihood of the parallel evolution in the original miniseries. Robin’s father (whose name escapes me) kept ranting about how “remarkable” it was.
