Dodge decided to go with another popular sci-fi franchise. I’ve got one of the new Civics and I admit that I pretend it’s one of the Jedi starfighters from Ep III with the digital control panel, but the Dodge Avenger Stormtrooper is too cool. It’s a shame that concept cars are so friggin awesome and then they dull it down for release.

okay, first off I searched this thread so hopefully this wasn’t already brought up. I know we see Starscream fly in outerspace during the credits but does anyone see or know what happened to Barricade. You see him on the highway right before Bonecrusher transforms and gets destoryed by OPrime but then you never see him again. I have watched the movie about 4-5 times now and never see him again or did I miss something.
good call andrew… no I don’t think he was in the final battle. Maybe he was wise and skipped town when the big boys started getting their tails kicked.
I coulda sworn I saw him (Barricade) get cut down rather quickly, but maybe I just wanted to see that happen, and figured it had… But I thought I saw Ratchet & Ironhide quickly dispatch him to the “eternal junkyard in the sky” during their charge to protect Sam from the Decpticons. This would have been while Jazz was fighting Devastator, and before (obviously) Ironhide and Ratchet were cut down by Starscream.
Didja notice how scared Ironhide was of Starscream, too? I was surprised at that. Maybe scared is the wrong word, but you get the idea. Seems his concern was well deserved.
Another one missing was Scorponok. Sure, he’s missing his tail, but is still around, and he was quite absent from the final battle. So we have Starscream, Scorponok and possibly Barricade still around.
As much as Starscream will hate it, he will HAVE to revive Megatron. Or perhaps Soundwave will.
Hmm. Soundwave sounds like a good name for a submarine, doesn’t it (sonar for the “Sound”, and water for (duh) “Wave”)? And isn’t Megatron deep under the ocean? (rhetorical question-yes, he is)
Whom else will Starscream bring in? Hopefully ShockWave. Always liked him.
I loved this movie. Can’t they just pump these things out annually, like they do the Harry Potter films? I don’t wanna wait until 2009… 
OK, I finally saw Transformers this weekend, but I got lucky, I was able to see it in all its gloriousness in the IMAX theater here in NYC.
I have to say, the whole experience was totally SWEEEEEET. I already ordered it on dvd yesterday.

Also I thought it was interesting at the end they were dumping the Decepticons in the bottom of the ocean and in the cartoon that was where there secret base was located. So they could use a story line of having a crashed shipped in the ocean that revives Megatron

So are the transformers living…well they may possibly respire, they gotta get power from somewhere, they certainly move and they can sense changes in the enviroment, however I have never seen them reproduce in media, or eat or grow, or excrete (the image that conjurs is hilarious though.)
ah, but Bumblebee did excrete in the movie. All over the guy from S7 
Finally saw this movie, and I must say I was disappointed. Aside from the robots, which were Awesome™, it was painful to watch. Every time they did something mildly clever, like whatshisface telling whatsherface that he thought there was more to her than meets the eye, they ruined it by bringing out the clue hammer.
As my GF said, “The only time you felt any emotion with when Bumblebee got hurt.”
As if to drive the point home, the next movie I saw was “War Games” which was a very similar movie (underdog saves the day from menace and gets the girl) but was done much, much better. (That should be on the list for a future rewatch, if it isn’t already.)
Well, slightly unrelated, but Shia LeBeouf was arrested the other day for being wasted. Apparantly he wandered into a Walgreen’s at 2:00 AM. You’ve gotta love how happy he looks in his mugshot. But hey, if I was in Transformers and Indy IV, I’d be pretty happy too.

So here’s one for you guys, my comic-book expert was clueless on this.
What is the background and/or series mythology on the pulse ( think that’s what it was, the bluey, pulsey circular wavey ray thing) that Scorponok used to kick a** and take names at the SOCCENT base? It looked like he hit the ground and this wave comes out and craaaap blows up and people fly every which way. I knew it wasn’t the 80’s anymore by the time that scene was over. Yeeehaw!
You know after seeing the Live action transformers movie and being a fan from G1 in the 80’s and even watching Beast Wars(ok ok I never grew up and still watch some cartoons). I would love to see them make a Computer Animated TF movie with the the orginal TF like Prime, wheeljack, bumble bee and show them on cybertron… I mean I thought TMNT was done good and Shrek movies are great . So I was thinking a Computer Animation Movie they could do really well with the right story!
