“You don’t like the people” is a fair criticism. I have close friends that own guns, but I would never own one.

Gods, to have to tell him that his country is taken and that his brother is dead and his sons are dead. Ouch, so awful.
In retrospect I think Ainsleys repub friends are played a little too over the top. They could have shown their contempt for the Bartlett Whitehouse without seeming so pure black hat.
“We think your brother and your two sons are already dead.” this is gut wrenching.
They definitely could have pulled back. But I like that it emphasizes Ainsley’s desire to take each person as they are, regardless of affiliation. Especially right after she had chewed Sam out for not liking people just because they like guns.
I love that in just one episode…ONE EPISODE… they very quickly make Ainsley an interesting character.
In contrast Mandy even after several episodes never quite clicked right.
