The Official Halloween Costume Photo Thread

Here is 'lil Solai:

Ah, how pretty. 'lil Solai, conveniently disguised as Solai’s Daughter.

Her dress is prettier than yours.

I just found out that among the ~100 units in my apartment building, there are only 2 children. And they live next to each other on the same floor, the only floor out of 23 floors that will be trick-or-treating. So the rest of us will be completely free of impish visitors demanding candy.

So, this bean-bag-chair-sized package of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup is mine and mine only.

<mr_burns>… excellent… </mr_burns>

I’ll have pictures of me and nephews trick or treating but i won’t have them for a few days. but they were cute as anything alive.

Here’s how we celebrated last night AZ style.

Yes I know the 15 year old looks like he’s going to audition for COPS.

Dawn is preetty… hee

I didn’t have much time to scounge up a costume this year. The girls, however, sure did. Here are some pics:

That’s our littlest Cylon as a three-eyed monster. I love that costume (the pudgy tummy is particularly cute!).

Here are Elena and her sister, who was a butterfly this year.

I posted these over on DawnAZ’s thread, but here you go again:

Here’s Elena, the littlest Cylon, as a three-eyed monster with the cutest pudgy tummy:

And here’s Elena with her sister, the butterfly:

Seriously! Those are so cool, Troy!

Um…no. Trust me. No one (and I mean NO ONE) wants to see THAT. :o

Yeah, but when Solai wears that dress…WHOA! Forget about it!

(That is one adorable little girl, Solai. Really).

Gwensdad: you guys’ costumes rock. I love the sleeping beauty theme.

I’ll post my costume pic when my friend emails it to me, but I had to share this video of my sister participating in “Thrill the World”, an annual simultaneous mass-performance of the Thriller dance.

On Oct. 25, 2008, 4,179 people from 10 nations (Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Ireland, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Scotland, United States of America, and Wales) simultaneously performed The Thriller Dance as part of the Thrill The World event, organized by Ines Markeljevic of Canada.

My sister is on the far right in the second row from the front, wearing a floor-length, pale-green dress (it was her bridesmaid’s dress from my twin sister’s wedding). She’s right behind the girl who falls down at the very end. I have, I think, never been prouder of my li’l sis than this moment.

When we left our house to go trick-or-treating, we had to fight off a hand of blue. A small task since they usually travel in pairs. It was easily defeated.

Mini-Vader was instrumental in the attack. An effective ally.

Our band of heroes (from left to right): The Dark Witch Fairy Queen, The Alley Cat, and the Protector of Spells and Magic Fairy Queen

And Vader chooses his candidate.

You know, I abhor line dancing. I always said I’d bribe the DJ at my wedding to not play any line dances. I may have to amend that, 'cause that rocked.

Alright, here’s my costume. I don’t have any full length pics yet, but you get the gist.

Beginning of the night, pre-makeup and pre-tiara:

And the end of the night, after a few Jell-o shots. Make-up a little worse for the wear:

Dawn, your 15 year old is sooo much bigger than you! What are you feeding these kids?

BTW, is that HubAZ in the picture?

Line dancing? But that’s not line dancing… isn’t line dancing that thing people do in the south? Are you talking about conga lines?

Nice! It’s a lot of effort you’ve put into this. What, no action shot of you playing beer pong?

No, like the Electric Slide or that stupid Cha Cha Slide, where all the fall down drunk women kick off their heels and kick and turn and stomp in unison. And no Chicken Dance or Hokey Pokey, either!

Not on my camera. Can’t vouch for any of the other cameras.
