It may never end, but it begins NOW!
Is that Gerald McRaney?
ETA: Yes, it is.
I took a fantasy literature class in college. This book was one of those covered. After we turned in the paper on it, the professor informed the class that everyone who only watched the movie failed, because lots of things are different from the book. Fortunately, I’d read it.
The book dealer is the old priest from V (the original V, that is).
I could have sworn that those snails were toast the first time around.
Hey! It’s an Oompa Loompa!
The Nothing!
“Don’t worry! It’s a racing snail!”
If the Rock Biter is made of rocks, are his people cannibalistic?
I love the big rock-headed guys.
And the people with four faces.

Actually, the people of Fantasia are all really interesting designs.
Atreyu looks a bit different these days.
Although some of us will always know him better as Boxey.
Great set design. Even obviously real outdoor locations have fantastical elements, like the huge crystal formations in the last scene.
OMGs, I just remembered this scene with the horse. So sad.
You know, looking at the credits for this movie, almost every child actor stopped working altogether within 5 years. Fame is a fickle thing.
“We haven’t spoken to anyone else for thousands of years, so we started talking to ourselves.”
“We don’t even care whether or not we care.”
Wow, the Luck Dragon animation did not really hold up well over the years.
“I like children.”
“For breakfast?”
These two remind me of Miracle Max and his wife.
