The "Lords of Kobol" The "Beings of Light" Are they coming?

I think so!

Ellen said something to the effect of god having a plan right?
And we know something is behind starbuck…

So do you think they are coming? And if so what do you think they will look like? The show has had a way of mixing spirtual matters and science together so I think they will be a group of people left from the very first cycle…

We would view them as “gods” but they are really SO advanced that they are not limited by the same things the humans or cylons are…

Am I making sense?:o What are your thoughts?

Also Anders said, “Stay with the fleet, Saul. It’s a miracle. It’s a gift from the angels.” Is he talking about Hera?

He said it while experiencing brain salad and right before he went into surgery but there it is.

I think the Head folk are the “Beings of Light” for this re-imagined series. They are super-advanced humanity or sentients. So yeah I think as I have been hoping that Head Six will be back soon. At least before the end.

I was hoping she wasn’t but I think your right Talos…

I think he is talking about Hera…
She seems to have the one thing they are putting there hopes on…

I keep on thinking about this too given everything we learned this episode. The totality of Cylons has now been demystified, but we don’t have an explanation for what happened to Starbuck and how she returned back in a brand new Viper.

There is more to come.

Thanks Solai:)
I hope we get to see them soon.

I think the key to the puzzle is the Viper itself… it had to come from somewhere… The Erflings wouldn’t have an old Viper laying around, nor would the Lords of Kobol, Head Characters, or anybody else… the only people likely to have one, or the tech to build a new one, other than the Fleet, would be Cavil… I’m guessing he sent her off in a previously captured one, restored and rebuild by him.

I think it may have something to do with the head people. I think THEY, whoever they are, may be the mysterious third party coreographing everything.

I believe that there are still members of the 13th tribe out there who are responsible for Starbuck 2.0; which still takes me back the episode were Starbuck’s Viper blew up.

So first I would like to know who the Non Creepy Leoben was.
Second was that really a heavy raider that Starbuck saw in the Maelstorm?

It may have been another type of ship that she took to be a heavy raider…

There has to be something to it…
The closest we may come to the “beings of light” may be the head constructs which could be special backdoor programs which could be passed on to a human such as Baltar through physical interaction with Six, whether that be through their relationship or the explosion that occurred at his apartment when she appeared to shied him during the miniseries.

The closest thing I can come to for :beings of light: and head constructs: would be what we call avatars online.

The Opera House may be the symbolic "Storage facility:: of such constructs
as to how individuals perceive that “reality”

Thanks for Reading

So the Beings of Light are akin to the ascended Ancients from Stargate? That would make us humans 2.0 just like in the Stargate timeline

Also, one of my favourite episodes from Season 2 is Scar, where Athena tells Starbuck that Cylon Raiders do resurrect and they are sentient (to the level of a pet dog, that’s what I got from her).

Which brings me to this point : everyone else has a head character, so why can’t Starbuck have a head raider? Why can’t Starbuck’s Viper be a resurrected cylon?

Also, this idea has been brought up a few times before; by RDM, Grace Park, even the Awesome 3some; that humans are no more than biological machines. Go back to the miniseries and watch the first 3 words being uttered on the show, by none other than No.6 herself to Boxey’s dad, “Are you alive?”

The colonial rejection of cylons as sentient beings has brought about this knee-jerk reaction from the cylons themselves - humans are biological machines; so how are they any more sentient or alive than cylonz?

‘cause it’s not bangin’ around on the hangar deck singing “Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen …” ??

I don’t think it’s a cylon. Nor do I think it’s a product of the Cavilcade. It’s not a captured model either … the chief and others went over it with a fine-toothed comb and found it in pristine, Colonial condition, as if it was brand new off the assembly line. No cylon tech.

No, I think it’s a product of a player we haven’t met … yet.

Not that there’s much “yet” left to go.

I’m pretty sure we’ll learn about the Lords of Kobol. As Solai pointed out the cylons have been demystified. And the way it was done, the total dump. Felt to me like they wanted to just hurry up, get the foundation laid out so they can then move on to the really good stuff.

frakkintolas pointed out Anders comments about the ‘miracle’. Oh yea, the Head characters, Hera, the Opera House, the visions… to important to the story line. They have been driving the story from the start.

What that is all about, who knows. Personaly I do not think its about ‘god’. I’m not sure the series will either invalidate or validate the existence of a god or gods. I think that is a question best left unanswered.

I agree. I don’t think the explanation of what the Head characters are will have anything to do with the validity of the existence or non-existence of god. OTOH, it may says something about the existence of gods, in this instance the Lords of Kobol.

Head Six is always about faith in the One True God. If you’ve seen or met God and know for sure, faith is not a factor. So, that’s my rationale in regard to Head Six.

Exactly. When it comes to god faith is more important than evidence. This show is all about faith, all about making giant leaps of faith. You can pull back the layers with rationale explanations but at the core is faith. Head Six, the Opera House etc will be explained.

I think the Opera house,Head six,Hera,Lords of Kobol and that place Laura saw while on the boat are all a big plot point that is going to come about after the next two eps.

I’m having a hard time mashing out what they all may be…
I still belive the Lords are just VERY advanced humans from the first cycle of time and having been trying to break it ever since…

Jeez, can you imagine being that advanced and knowing what is going on but being powerless to stop it?

Warning signs-
“Back on Earth, the warning signs that we got they looked different to each one of us. I saw a woman. Tory, you saw a man. Funny, no one- no one else could see them. Galen, you thought you had-” Then Ishay interrupts.

People that appear to only them and warn them of future events. Sound familiar?

If there is a being of light equivalent in this series, I dont want them to actually be like the old series, cause that would just kill me and hate RDM so much.

I wish that I had NEVER been a fan of the OG BSG. Because I feel I am always prejudiced to want to include them as a possability in the answers to the mysteries. I want there to be no “gods”.
