This is Wild Flag. It’s 2 of the members of Sleater-Kinney, including Carrie Brownstein, one of the most talented guitar players out there, also of Portlandia fame, and Mary Timoni. They are AMAZING. I am counting down the days til they play D.C. (28 days!)
ps: Keir, I know a bilingual, quasi-goth librarian with a passable knowledge of wines who can quote Douglas Adams and Dr. Who. Not sure of her music tastes or appreciation of bourbon. Sadly, she’s married. But she DOES exist.
Oh, hell, yeah! The S-K kung fu in this quartet is strong. I haven’t listened to them in ages…if I can ever get my external TB drive spinning here at work, I can subject all the drones to such goodness…along with Neko Case, Iggy Pop, Rev. Horton Heat…oh, I see where this is going.
