“The Fear” by Lily Allen
If These Trees Could Talk ( http://www.myspace.com/ifthesetreescouldtalk ), “Malabar Front.”
Nifty instrumental song that swells from indie-shoegaze to emotional metal riffing.
As featured in one of the new inFamous trailers (scroll down a little):

it’s on the playlist
emotionally charged, guitar-driven tension-and-release rock with an amazing vocal performance.

If you’re driving distance to Phoenix, you should check her out on May 2nd. At least according to the local Browncoats.
This whole week, I’ve been listening to Wonderful Night by Fatboy Slim, performed by Craig Ferguson.
Company of Thieves
Saw a commercial for them on Adult Swim recently, and I was intrigued, so I downloaded the album off Amazon… decent album… the Rushmore tribute is a definite plus in my book. And: Company of Thieves = Rushmore = Olivia Williams = DollHouse = Tahmoh Penikett = BSG! Six Degrees of Separation! WooHoo!
For tonight, it is Eurovision!

I don’t know for how much longer but MC Frontalot’s album Nerdcore Rising is only $5 on Amazon right now!
well? let’s get some different tastes going here!
I mostly listen to rock but that’s a pretty wide definition
a few songs that have had my iPod going a lot recently:
Vicarious by Tool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hii17sjSwfA
Ich Will by Rammstein (I found the video to be pretty funny as well)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCEZ2m9o7vc
Sonne by Rammstein http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfHlA3fmJG0
Chop Suey! by System of a Down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND1OxDoNL8I
Right now I’m ripping through my Paul Gilbert collection, enjoying an album by one of his guitar teachers, Barrett Tagliarino, called “Throttle Twister”, and I’m also revisiting John Petrucci’s “Suspended Animation” and the first two “Liquid Tension Experiment” CDs he did. Oh, and I pulled out Shawn Lane’s two “Powers of Ten” recordings again today.
Guitar music FTW!
Threads merged for your listening pleasure.
Frickin’ A, sir. Gilbert rules. There’s a story about him back in the Racer X days, while doing the power-drill trick, getting his hair caught in the machine. Which only makes me appreciate him more. That is commitment.
