I know Six Feet Under was a great show. My concern for Dexter: how durable is the premise of the show? I mean, how many season can a serial killer kill, before mathematically half the population of Miami should be dead? Dexter is killing of 10~20 people a season, maybe? Not to mention whoever else is the main antagonist for Dexter each season is also killing. So, over a 5~10 year period, Dexter, along with those imitating or competing against Dexter, are killing hundreds of people.
Really, we are graduating from a prodigiously productive serial killer to a perpetrator of a minor genocide.
It’s not so much that I’m concerned about the large number of people Dexter is killing, because, by and large, they all happen to be douchebags. But wouldn’t the entire law enforcement community of the United State, along with the army, navy, air force and coast guard would relocate to Miami to in search of him? After hundreds of people are dead? This cannot not turn out well for Dexter, or the show.
