Not every TV show is BSG… they don’t all deserve their own threads. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t talk about them! Right here, in this catch-all thread for all things TV-related.
So, who else saw the season premier for CSI? The Warrick episode. I thought that was very well handled, which reminds me…
I wasn’t really paying attention to CSI Miami. I don’t think I’ve seen a full episode of it since like 3 years ago. But I did know that Horatio Caine was shot or something. Is he dead or not?
One thing I wished for on my birthday, no it wasn’t for my health or world peace, I wished that David Caruso will be finally off my TV and I’d never have to see his face again. Please tell me this is happening.
It was fantastic. I bawled like a baby at the end. I loved that they didn’t try to turn Warrick into a saint just because he was dead. They dealt with it honestly and gently and I loved the emotion that the other CSI’s showed. It was Grissom, as always, who moved me to tears, though. I’m gonna miss him when he goes.

Sorry to disappoint you, but no, it was a set up. They made it seem as though he had been shot and killed to lure out the bad guy who was selling illegal bullets and was gonna whisk Horatio’s baby-mama and kid away to Puerto Rico.

You could say…

…you’re having a bad birthday then
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I watched the premier of My Own Worst Enemy and it didn’t suck. Christian Slater did a pretty awesome job of playing 2 different guys. I had some problems with the ep (what the frak were those marbles?) but it was pretty entertaining. Thots?
I couldn’t get into it. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t really grab me either. I’ll give it one more try but i’m not optimistic. It seems to convoluted (and this comes from a huge LOST fan) and really doesn’t seem to know where its going. But we will see if next weeks episode will grab me.
I’m so happy to see that, in the absence of new BSG, we’re keeping our standards high
I haven’t seen “My Own Worst Enemy” and don’t much care for CSI (which makes me a minority in our household). My mother-in-law is into “Life,” which I have to say, doesn’t suck. The wife and I, however, are enjoying the current run of “Pushing Daisies” and are hoping it won’t get the ax, as it’s rumored.
One new show I caught last week was the premiere of “Testees” on FX. I was skeptical about this show and still am (it was only the pilot, after all), but it has some potential. I like the look and feel of the show and the fact that the pilot was just one huge set up for a very gross but ultimately very funny joke made it all work.
Unlike its lead in, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” which is one of my favorites but which this season has been pushing the boundary a little too far for my taste (except for “Mac and Charlie Die.” That episode was brilliant).
I gotta say, that was a pleasant surprise. It was pretty nicely done.
BTW, the villain’s name in this episode was “Uzi Kafelnikov”. I thought… that sounds like a jewish russian porn star name. Then I realizes that you can just string together two names of guns, and you get a porn name! For example:
Uzi Kafelnikov
Colt Berenger
Winchester Smith
Remington Beretta
Magnum Wesson
Heckler Koch (This doesn’t even need to be changed.)
I guess it’s hard to make a female porn star name using this method.
(Just warning you guys right now, if I ever have to go Zack and Miri on you guys, my pseudonym is going to be “Colt Berenger”. That’s right, I’m calling dibs on a possible porn name.)
Kafelnikov isn’t a gun maker/name of a gun though.
Oh, you’re right… Kafelnikov isn’t Kalashnikov, is it? Well then my entire previous post was completely pointless, then.
I will have to take solace in that, just for a few minutes, I got to connect with my inner porn star…
I have seen 12 episodes of Dexter…in 3 days :):)
Well, it’s a great show… although I’m not sure I can take 12 episodes of serial killing in 3 days.
I’ve been catching up on How I Met Your Mother and rewatching DS9. It would be awesome if Odo could hang out with Barney for one day.
I’m jealous. I’ve only ever seen the pilot. I need to catch some more.
I am, sadly, only three episodes from the end of Firefly.
I fear for your mental health, and the health of the bad guys in your neighborhood.
I read the books first, and since I was already in love with Michael C Hall after Six Feet Under, it was an easy fit for me.

Bittersweet, indeed.
I have been watching Sanctuary but have seen everything so far on the internet version. Charlie Jade is great even if you have to record it at 3 a.m.
I also have been watching the old Lost since I started watching it after the first few seasons.
CSI I stopped watching some time ago. I solved the crimes to fast. I think it might be just watching so many of them. The Miami show had errors in it also.
I’ve been reading Stephen King since I was 10
Ill be fine.
I refer to the above and they have been exterminated a long time ago
