No no, don’t apologize. I, and many of friends are HUGE fans of the Dune books.
And I remember waiting anxiously for David Lynch’s Dune movie. But it really was a major disappointment (except for maybe a few decent elements). And, as much as I am a Sting fan, Sting was embarrassing in that movie.
Fortunately the Sci-Fi channel Dune and Children of Dune were very good and helped wipe the memory of the David Lynch movie away.
