Just when I thought the show couldn’t get any better they deliver the T&A. DAAAAAAAYUM genius if you ask me. It is even funnier in the first scene with Eli and he keeps avoiding looking down. You also notice how Eli is using the kino’s to spy on the ladies rather than searching the ship, more genius.
She said she was a Second Lieutenant in her video. Officially now Lieutenant Daaaaaaayum. Someone please update the Wikipedia entry.
I take some issue with that statement because Carter and Weir wore the occasional dress and they had command presence.
But, I do predict some gender bending in the second half, or maybe first half, of this season.
My weakness with ensemble cast shows (SGU, Flash Forward, Lost if I’d ever watch it, etc.) is it takes me awhile to remember character names.
That said, Lieutenant James ahem seems to be fulfilling the Counselor Troi role of eye candy for the time being until they flesh out (no pun intended, I promise) her character. Then, maybe she’l fill a more 7 of 9 or Aeryn Sun role afterwards. I think she’ll be handy in a fight.
Missed the point i was making totally. Didn’t mean it in that context. Though I do agree on Cater and Weir. Now both of them in bed with me. (HAPPY CAMPER AM I)
I just rewatched the scene naming of the flying camera on hulu with CC. Lieutenant bookshelf humper interrupted Eli before Eli could explain where he got the name. CC on hulu spelled in Kino, but I would have sworn this past Friday’s episode spelled it Keno in the CC once (I’m hearing impaired). May have been their mistake or my mis-reading though.
Correction: He said it’s named after something Russian.
Maybe the SGC doesn’t do background checks? Or maybe Gen. O’neill does. IYKWIM
Maybe Telford is spending so much time with the stones hoping Lieutenant Daaaaayum will use it. IYKWIM
The Kino thing is awesome. Just proves Eli had a plan from the start. He was probably trading water rations or something with that other dude to get in on the peep show.
Wacky theory of the week:
Johansen is pregnant with Telford kid and that is why she quit and why he is hanging around the stones.
I’m enjoying the series so far. I just wish Dr Baltar…uh, I mean Rush, if he is in fact that smart and is figuring things out on the ship, would tell somebody when stuff is going down five minutes before the sh*t hits the fan, rather than after! The guy expects everyone to listen to every word he says and yet won’t share any information, and is actively preventing the other science-minded personnel from assisting. And then he’s right there saying “I knew this would happen, you should have listened!”
And somebody hold him down and give hime a shave, for gods sake.
The problem is he thinks everyone is a moran. And he’s treated everyone like that for so long that everyone else is convinced, as evidenced by the scene where he was passed out and Young asked the other scientests what they could do. They had no answers except that “Without Rush, there isn’t much we CAN do.” Eli, however, hadn’t been there long enough to feel this way.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Rush’s character. So far, he’s the most complex and interesting one there. Young is getting there, but he’s still kind of stiff. Rush is by far the best character on this show. I like Eli too, but I really hope they do more with his character. The hacker/gamer geek only get’s him so far, he needs to develope as a person.
He seems to think highly of Eli. When the moron scientist first came to him, he said, “If [Young] wanted to send someone to help, why didn’t he send Eli?” or some such.
So, the caveat is he thinks everyone is a moron except maybe Eli. (:
So he was a Colonel for at least 8 years, then goes from Brigadier General to Lieutenant General in around 5? Not sure how realistic that is, but yeah.
