Stargate Universe

I think she’s the counselor Troi of the show for now. When Troi started she was mostly eye candy and sexual tension fodder for Riker. Chloe is fodder for Scott and Eli, but that can only last for so long. Then, Troi actually got Starfleet training, became involved with Worf and helped more with regards to ship duties.

Who knows, she could become Eli’s apprentice, medical assistant, or whatever. She has definite potential.

Or, they can kill her…again… ><

Starting to wish I could just fast forward 2-3 yrs, pick up the show again when its been in full swing for a while.

The latest episode (the one where the crazy guy is found dead) was an improvement over previous episodes. Not only did we get to see a few characters doing something different, but we finally got to see that Rush actual has done something devious. Previously we were just sort of teased with the idea.
I suppose this episode was a “mid season finale” or something? Does anyone know for sure? I’m just guessing from the surprising ending that it’s over for a while.

IMDB lists the next episode date as 2010. No month, just the year. Does anyone else remember seeing Season Finale and not mid-season finale?

It was advertised as a mid season finale.

Now the conjecture is not but when Rush returns to the ship. Will it be next episode or will he show up at or near the end of season. Thing is Rush has to go along with what Young said. Otherwise he will be exposed as the person that tried to frame the Colonel. Lets just say they are even.

I’m looking forward to seeing Rush catch up to the Destiny in that crashed alien ship. Obviously, he’s going to hot-wire it.

Of course, the Colonel is going to have a slight credibility problem when he shows up…

For whatever reason, I woke up in the middle of the night and said, “Rush gets assimilated.” Took me a moment to figure out what I was talking about but when I was falling asleep I wondered, how could that be even better? It’s obvious Rush is gonna “hot-wire” the alien ship. So, what if the Alien tech took him over? They could go into a few directions with that. The tech fills him with whatever it is he is seeking and knock that huge chip off his shoulder. Or he is now even more capable to interface with Destiny (sort of voice of the ship).

Then again, they could go in another direction. Rush is now a demi-god.

honestly…not bad Not perfect…but MUCH impioved

I think you’re right, that’s what is going to happen. But it’s really going to strain belief to think Rush can simply jump in an alien ship (which they established is not Ancient), know how to fix it (seems like a crash), know how to hot-wire it, and know exactly where the Destiny is and rendezvous with it.

He’s the science dude on a Stargate show, is it really that hard to believe?

=P

Or he trips over the SOS switch by accident.

Thing is he is NOT Carter or McKay so it may take awhile. Now if Chief O’Brien happened to wander past then that’s another story.

I agree and I was thrilled to see the show finally do something fun and unexpected. I’m much more interested now. I’m enjoying the show, but I’m not loving it and I really want to love it. I’m willing to stick with it though.

Its good to see them move past innuendo. Their actions are still firmly in a gray area, but now you can see the players moving more openly. You can judge them on what they do, and not on how the other characters react to them. I wonder if this situation with Rush is how they come to head-to-head with the seasons primary villain/conflict.

From what the producers have said, the second half of Season 1 will have more
alien encounters
, but they won’t be like the typical ones of SG-1 or SGA. More in the lines of District 9.
Also, SGU will continue on April 2nd and was picked up for a new Season, as is Sanctuary. So no surprises there.

I think they still have a few more stories to play out before they revert to that. BSG didnt need “them”

Yes. BSG was built to not need THEM. but BSG had the Cylons that filled that aspect of the show nicely. AND it was in EJO contract to not have them.

I am trying to like this show… but they are making it very difficult to care about any of these characters.

Is this show coming back? If so when? I’m sick to death of these big breaks!
