“If you can’t give me a yes before we’ve reached McMurdo, I don’t even want you.”

“Well, it’s official - you don’t get to name anything. Ever.”

These 2 episodes are combined on the DVD and Blu-Ray, so unless there’s a problem, I think we’ll just watch straight through without the break.

Wow, my BluRay player remembers where I was the last time I had this disc in it probably a year ago.

Nice first look at Atlantis, though it would have been cool not to really see it until it broke the surface.

Oh, and that female Ancient was the same actress from the episode in Antarctica on SG-1.

blu-ray players are good/bad like that.

I’ll need a short pause at about 44:00 so I can switch to part two.

Ancient Drone looks a lot less impressive without power.

And first explicit reference to the Ancient Gene.

Thank you, I knew she looked familiar but couldn’t figure out why.

Yeah, I remember you mentioning it. Just let me know.

Oh, and originally Rodney wasn’t going to be in Atlantis, but David Hewlett auditioned for the original part and they decided to go with it.

Great start to the McKay/Beckett banter.

Nice catch, Jack.

“Let’s say we cut to the part where you start talking… really fast.”

Yeah, Daniel/Rodney scenes tend to have pretty quick dialog.

Nice to see the Ancient Outpost set with good lighting.

Rodney doesn’t look too sure about that one-way trip.

I’m pretty sure sitting in the chair counts as touching anything.

“What are the odds of me having the same genes as these guys?”

Well, since you’re first on the cast list, pretty good.

“I said don’t touch anything.”

Notice Jack reacting to the stasis pod.

And Simon also played Sam’s first alien crush.

Nice montage with the main cast members. And Rodney’s cat actually looks a lot like my Rodney.

“The customer you are trying to reach is outside the coverage area.” No kidding.

This may be the busiest we’ve seen the SGC set.

And here’s Colonel T-1000.

haven’t seen the wormhole effect in a while.

Yeah, John really doesn’t care if he pisses off Col. T-1000. Too bad it’s not Walter calling it out, but we’ll see him later this season.
