Next episode is out. I’m gonna stop posting these though. How did yall like the rakghoul event?
I thought it was a nice change of pace, although it excluded my lowbie level guys (pre-starship) who couldn’t get anywhere near Tatooine… unless I missed something. Unfortunately it happened during one of my busier work weeks so I didn’t get to run even half of my many, many alts through it.
The automatic scaling was a good idea but, as I’ve seen in other games with that mechanic, the first couple hits usually don’t register. So much for opening with an alpha strike. Opening with a DoT usually worked well.
And thanks for the videos, btw.

Ah yeah. Making Social X worth while again! d:
It looks like one of “our” servers, Sith Meditation Sphere, qualified for the first round of server transfers. My highest level is on that server but, I jumped to the more populated Jedi Covenant server a few weeks ago and recently unlocked legacy there too.
We got moved to Canderous Ordo.

Yay!!
Anyone still playing? I’ve got an account but I’ve suspended the billing. I’m only allowing myself 2 MMOs a month (1 of them is WOW, the 2nd now is The Secret World). But if we’re all playing together somewhere, I could easily be convinced to return
I’m playing. I’m on Canderous Ordo (PVE) after the transfer. And, we are still doing Inside SWTOR.
I’ve been bouncing between SWTOR (Shadowlands) and TSW but, I’m away from home for a month on a working (training) vacation near Denver. I brought my laptop with me for those days I’m not out exploring but, it didn’t seem to handle TSW so well and the WLAN at the hotel leaves a lot to be desired.

Due out November 15th, this Thursday, SWTOR is going Free-to-Play… with all the usual heavy limitations of course…
So, someone else is still playing. d:
What server are you on now? I’m on Jedi Covenant (PVE).
Question for those who have played this already. I’m considering giving this a try because from what I hear you can basically play it as if it were a single player RPG. Based on what they are saying about the limitations of the free version, do you think it is worth playing it basically just for the single player elements? I’m not really into multiplayer games most of the time, and I don’t really want to get sucked into an MMO.
It’ll be pretty easy to get from Level 1 to 50 (max) in F2P. But, it may be slightly more grindy as a F2P player. You get more experience when you group up, but it will be entirely possible and feasible to to play solo. I pretty much played solo on my first character from 30 to 50.
Still, as a subscriber, I’m having trouble getting multiple characters to level 50 because even though every class has their own story, you still have to repeat a lot of planet content to get to reach 50. The saving grace is that the Republic and Imperial factions have different content.
With that said, unfortunately on the Republic side, most people say the Jedi Knight story is best. However on the Imperial side, the four class story lines are all good. That’s not to say the Trooper, Consular, and Smuggler story lines are bad, just that I and many other people consider them sub par when compared to the others.
I’m a 6-month subscriber and love this game, but I’m not strictly solo.
Yeah, but Smugglers still have the best one-liners. I just got my second level 50 on the Shadowlands server not long ago, opposite faction. He hasn’t finished chapter 3 yet (bounty hunter) but, he was the first to unlock a companion legacy. And I finally got a Social 4 legacy unlock today too.
Anywho, SWTOR is perhaps the most solo friendly MMO game I’ve played. Group content is still fun too: Flash Points, Operations, Heroics (although you can solo some Heroic 2+ missions). And generally, if you let the group know it’s your first time through any particular mission, they’ll usually slow down and let you enjoy the story. And come Thursday, it’ll be FREE!.. in a diminished fashion… mostly in the UI and group content.
It’s not so much that I don’t want to play with others, it is that I am most interested in the storyline and playing the missions. The fact that there are different story lines for different classes is interesting which I did not realize. I’ll probably get to this at some point, but not right when it comes out, since there are so many other games I want to play first.
Stop by Jedi Covenant and I can spot you some money, give advice, or lend a hand on missions you have have trouble with (doesn’t happen often but sometimes).
SWTOR just started a new event today, slated to last two weeks. It’s also supposed to be the start of a recurring event, although there hasn’t been any mention of how frequent. Already there are complaints, unfortunately, that a portion of it is in an Open World FFA PvP area, and as such is vulnerable to griefing/ganking. Also of note, some of the bartered rewards are unachievable this time around due to barter token earning limits and the two week time constraint, barring some OCD-level commitment and luck in the aforementioned contested area. Like anything else in the MMO world, things can change…
