I had a heck of a time deciding which disc to put in. The updated CGI version with Hayden in the end, or the real version. d:

Yeah, it’s full screen and 5.1 audio. Bah!
Huh, I wonder why I never noticed the parallel between this opening and episode 4…
Don’t know if y’all know this story but I saw this with my Grandmother at a double feature matinée. Anywho, the other film they were showing was called ‘Eye of the Needle’ starring Donald Sutherland. That film had nudity and sex in it. Imagine how I felt having to watch that with my grandmother sitting next to me.
I never understood why they showed that film first. I found out much later in life it was because it was directed by the same person who directed RotJ, Richard Marquand
I made that decision early on. I asked my daughters which version they wanted to watch. I usually watch the originals in the DVD pack.
Now, I understand the gold bikini. d:
Eye of the Needle was the first time I saw boobies.
If I ever win the lotto, I’m getting Captain Solo for a wall ornament.
