Star Trek 2x14 Bread and Circuses

a pointed ear hopgoblin. hehe.

for a half-human, spock pretends to know little about humanity

yes it is.

and nice violin background.

Well, at least Kirk does get laid in this episode.
You know I’ve been concerned about his lack of “action” thus far in season 2.

He’s not quite on par with Zeus, but yeah, Apollo was pretty promiscuous.

because you’re a man? what does that even mean???

Hmmm…I see Daphne mentioned there, but not Cassandra.
(We never call her by her full name…she’s Cassie.)

Leave it to the Romans to invent bullets that don’t ricochet.

“They threw me a few curves…”
Nice.

the juxtaposition of knives.swords and guns is odd.
poor flavius.

Ah, see? By reading up on this technical manuals in the previous encounter, Scotty learned how to blackout the planets power grid.
Good nerd move, Scotty.

Seventh paragraph of female lovers.

merrick saved them? whut?

wow, kirk said christ. total love and total brotherhood. this seems… un-trek-y.

he was sick of being treated like an inferior weakling by the Proconsul. didn’t you hear the admiration in his voice when he talked about a Starship crew and captain? seeing Kirk & co in action brought him back to reality

Yeah, to touch back to the debate early in this thread: I not sure about whether or not they were being too heavy handed with the Religious bit at the end there.
I think Kirk’s interest is in a sense of “historical fancisnation”.

I know, it’s still just like… hm.

zoooooom!

spock

g’night everyone

Ah yes. Thanks. I stand corrected.
Well, I’m not gonna let 'em talk to any boys anyway, so it’s all moot.

Nite, Frenchie. Put that tribble into the drawer with mini-Spock and get to bed.
