The first official pictures of Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Uhura (Zoë Saldana), and Nero (Eric Bana). Sylar is a great choice for Spock, there’s an eerie resemblance with Leonard Nimoy.
Now, not to take anything away from nichelle Nichols, but hey, I do hope Uhura gets a LOT of screen time. As a matter fact of fact, I wouldn’t mind an Uhura-centered plot.

I’m in the midst catching up on my Heroes episodes. So I have good reason to feel disturbed about seeing Sylar…ah …I mean Quinto as Spock.
But yeah, you’re right. He’s Spock. How did he do that?

If frakkintalos endorses Chris Pine as a valid choice for replacing Shatner… that’s good enough for me 
Zachary Quinto is freakin’ me out! He is spot-on for Leonard Nimoy’s Spock look. I am anxious to see his portrayal in action. But whoa…that look. Spooky.
You can’t replace Shatner. You can only complement him. That smile alone says Pine gets Kirk’s brash attitude. People tend to equate Kirk to Shatner…well…cuz it’s Shatner. But if you read the novels you get a good feel for the character.
Spock is logical. McCoy is emotional. Kirk is somewhere in the middle, a rational, calculating mind with passion. In other words, a cocky smart-ass. That smirk summed that up for me.

long as you don’t just sit there and lurk, cuz the Kirk Smirk is a definite perk, long as he isn’t played by a turk, although turks can smirk - just not sure it would work
