None other than John Tesh makes an appearance in this episode as a holographic Klingon.
See if you can spot him.
ETA: From Memory Alpha:
John Tesh, co-host of Entertainment Tonight from 1986 to 1996 and a devoted Star Trek fan, appears in a cameo role as a Klingon during Worf’s painstik ritual. The experience was documented in a segment on the show. As an homage to him, the Star Trek Customizable Card Game identifies his character as K’Tesh.
Hey! I didn’t know this.
The Klingons in the holodeck ritual had to wear old gorilla boots from Planet of the Apes since all other Klingon costumes were being used in the shooting of Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
This episode is kinda weird. It’s essentially two B-stories.
I actually remember seeing him talk about it on ET at the time. That was weird.
Worf’s having his Pon Farr!
hey guys! sorry to have missed time squared, i usually enjoy that one… but it was in the service of sci-fi evangelization
we’re about 5 minutes in, right?
7, just now.
So what were you evangelizing?
Star Wars… we did the OT last weekend, did Episode 1 tonight (ze liked it :)), and are going to 2 and 3 next week. Oh, and we’re making plans to introduce ze to Firefly, too. I haz a happy
Riker has daddy issues. Is he on Lost?
“With… all due respect, BEGONE!!! Sir.”
we love Worf
“I’m here with my hand out, son.”
Get a job, you bum!
Pulaski’s not bad… but I miss Beverley Crusher
He sounds like Hoshi.
RikerDad’s jumpsuit makes me chuckle… but I had forgotten about RikerSon’s angsty moments.
Awww Wesley figured out why Worf’s in a funk
Me too. I actually liked Pulaski. She just suffered from replacement syndrome, so the fans automatically hated her.
Geordi looks quite… aprehensive… about the party
This episode aired 21 years ago, almost to the day. April 24th, 1989.
“We are his family.”
Assuming we forget about his parents back on Earth, of course.
