The Klingon spoken in this was written by Maurice Hurley (the writer of the episode) all later Klingonese would come from Marc Okrand the linguist who developed the language for the Trek movies and wrote the Klingon Dictionary.
hehe away we go
this is not ferengi design… possibly… romulan hehehe
This episode did for Worf what ‘The Naked Time’ did for Spock. Revealing their personal conflict between two worlds.
La Forge’s VISOR is tied into the Enterprise’s viewscreen during the away mission, allowing the bridge crew to see what he saw. It would not be used again until “The Mind’s Eye”. Of course, Dr. Tolian Soran later used it against the Enterprise in Star Trek Generations.
I don’t know why but I never liked the whole VISOR stuff.
you’re like the Official Trek Tour Guide
whereas I think it’s cool - at least having the rest of the crew be able to see the way Geordi does, and the back and forth about how to process information that’s so different from normal imputs etc.
RE: Data’s aura
“Don’t you?”
Yeah like that never came up before.
I see how it’s interesting and all. It just seems forced, like an afterthot.
makes sense to me. growing up I could never understand why they put credits on the end of movies and TV shows. when I finally got glasses I understood that people could actually read them
I’ve been trained at Memory Alpha, mostly.
Season 2 can’t come soon enough to get Riker in a beard
I like the music for this episode. It was done by this guy.
he does seem pretty plastic without it, doesn’t he?
Korris is played by Vaughn Armstrong, this is his introduction to Star Trek. He would play many various roles on DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise.
talos, is this the guy who plays the admiral in Enterprise (and bunches of other characters in every series :D)?
ETA thank you Mr Tour Guide (“and on your left, a piece of scenery used in 14 episodes and 3 movies. and we’re walking…”)
that’s a great way to put it.
Between Worf’s hair, Deanna’s hair, and Riker’s lack of hair… there’s a lot to snark about.
hm hungry. i’m hungry. something sweet would be delicious. unfortunately spouse is on a eat less and more healthy food kick, no sweets in the house
This is the first time in the series we see Klingons in their full body armor.
