Sons of Anarchy Thread

All right, not going to use spoiler tags. So watch out!

I was a bit less enthused over the Gemma/Clay killed John Teller. I’m glad it’s back at the forefront (and it should be interesting too, given Clay and Jax have mended their fences a while back and are actually really chummy together), and I do like what the finale means for next season, but has there ever been any doubt that Gemma and Clay killed John since the first season (with the burial thing that was mentioned earlier)?

And, boy, did Stahl turn batshit nuts in this season. I think while she’s always been pretty diabolical, this season, she became too nutty and cuckoo bananas, and so I’m glad she’s dead so we don’t have to deal with this silly villain anymore.

Didn’t like the plot of Salvador and Tara at all. Why didn’t Tara just kill him (or at least wound him so she can escape with Margaret) when she had the chance to? She had a clear shot while he was tending to his bleeding girlfriend in the bathroom, and it was just silly to drag that out only so that Jax can come back and ‘rescue’ her. I guess, in a way, this season dragged out too many plots for the sake of dragging them out so they can culminate in the fnal episodes.

That being said, I did love the finale a whole lot more than the rest of this season. But this season overall was not very good. I still love the show, but it was just kind of all over the place, with a strong pilot and a strong finale. All the episodes in between? Meh.

I love Unser and Opie in the episode though. It was crazy awesome to see Opie kill Stahl, and say (paraphrase) “that’s how she felt.” I wonder if Opie and Piney will still be planning anything for Clay (and Tig) for what they did. Especially since they will be in charge of Samcro for a little while while Clay, Jax, etc, are in jail.

And Unser! I wish we saw more of Unser, but it was still touching (in a morbid and sad way, I guess) that Unser’s back with Samcro.

Great Unser moments in the finale.

Heaven and hell don’t exist, but if they did, Shahl is down there right now thinking. “Sh#t. I shoulda taken a drag off of that joint.”

Finally saw the finale last night.

I was having a conversation with a friend at work about Stahl. I summed her up as “Bat-shit crazy psycho with a badge, she needs extreme prejudice justice.” She was never going away, unless she was dead.

Throughout the whole episode I kept saying to myself, “Jax isn’t that stupid. He can out think this maniac.” They set that up very well all season. Jax was distracted and conflicted. Once I saw Piney at the wheel of the school bus I thot, “Jax planned this.”

Loved when Jimmy said, “Love the American justice system.” Little did he know, he hadn’t escaped Anarchy justice. As he took his final breathe I thot how primal it all is; pounding chests, preying on the weak, manipulating advantages, and eliminating the competition. Only the strong prevail. The whole purpose of the Justice system protecting the innocent is void. No one is innocent. There is only a code of family. A legal system cannot compete with that.

That being said, a family can only destroy itself from the inside. I think that’s where the next season is going.

I was thinking of adding spoiler tag but then thot the same thing. Plus it no longer applied given the GWC spoiler policy.

There’s gotta be a timejump right and then flashbacks to prison?

According to Wikipedia they will jump to the end of the prison term. Well just before they are released.

I figure GWC’s spoiler policy is clear and we all know how to proceed.

Also, if you don’t realize that there HAVE to be shenanigans regarding Clay and Gemma, you haven’t been paying even cursory attention to this Hamlet-inspired series.

I mean, that’s practically the tagline. “Hamlet. With MOTORCYCLES.”

There’s a great line from—I think—the pilot ep where Bobby says to Jax “You are James T. Kirk.” But in that case it was more in reference to Jax’s way with the women than his ability to always win in the end.

Hive mind. I was think exactly that when I was watching last night. Jumping forward has become so acceptable on TV these days, and that’s a good thing. (Thanks New Caprica.)

Ah, good.

If somebody let slip that Jax and Trinity really did it, I’d be plenty pissed. Ooops, I hope everyone knew that.

OH, I get it: TRINITY. Third kid. That was, like, symbolic.

That’s what sold me on the show. I heard that and was like, “I’m in.”

Geek.

Hamlet

Has anyone watched the first episode of the new season??? How 'bout dem Russians?

Saw it. Loved it. Anyone other than me been listening to “Coal War” all week? Catchy, catchy song.

“Good morning.”

       "Not if you're Russian."

                           :groucho:

If you’re a Shield fan, half of The Shield cast is – or has been – on the show. Dutch, Lem, Ronnie, Acaveda…

danny trejo. 'nough said.!

I literally Oh SNAPP’d when his name appeared in the opening credits.

Holy cr@p I’m loving this show. The last non-scifi series I was this enthusiastic about was The Sopranos.

Just watched ep 10 and …well… I won’t say anything else but “Clay: you, sir, are a d_bag.” ahem…said from a healthy distance away. Such as a convenient ocean or two…

Great news that the series is extending to Season 5. Can’t imagine what they are going to do with it next season…

gaf

It started on the premise of Hamlet. Soooooo, I can only guess it’s going to end that way. Everybody gonna die.
