So, What the Frak was Kara Thrace???

Ahhh, its good to see new people ACTUALLY coming in here…yay!!!

I was much like you I found this place because I had finished BSG and holy hell I wanted to talk about it to someone!!!

I’m OK with not fully knowing what happened, only because when they do explain this stuff the explanation either sucks, or ruins the effect…plus we need something to keep talking about barring a miracle continuation of Blood and Chrome…ahhh, I still hope…

least I have Arrow and Flash that I’m all-in on now

Welcome aboard, Soaked. Glad to have you. This is all very rusty in my brain. Let me process it a little and get back.

The ol’ watercooler is a bit of a ghost town lately. Dig around through the archives, and you may find some worthwhile chatter. Thanks for bringing the update and the quality info!

Scott, merry Xmas! I’ve been into Arrow since day one. I’m a little behind on Flash. I don’t think giving that show a full-season order helped it. It’s solid – much, much, much better than Gotham – but when I found myself with a six-episode backlog, I started watching every other one. And I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. I’m up to the Arrow-Flash crossover now.

On Arrow, I thought that thing with Wally was the first truly interesting plot development they’d had in a long time. And I was very bummed when they reversed it. But I’m hearing the winter “finale” left on a high note.

Thanks dxf and happy merry to you too!!!

The Flash to me is a pure flashback to my childhood…I’ve soaked up EVERY second of it and I want more!!! Give it a try if you can (I just found a CW app on my amazon fire, great option for getting caught up on stuff!), its VERY well done and mostly true to the comic (with the exception of Wells most the stuff has been spot on!)

And yeah…the Arrow Mid-Season Finale…HOLY JESUS…that’s all I shall say!!

I feel like you do about Gotham…it’s trying to do too much and push too many familiar names when they easily could have let lesser people shine instead…

Welcome soaked.
And thanks for the post. It was fun to travel back to BSG and think about the Kara question again.
I am almost completely convinced by JimBright and you - but- there’s still a mystery for me.

What has happened, is now, I feel I must re-watch the series again.
Haven’t watched the whole show in awhile. Now I’m super excited about doing that.
So thank you, for your enthusiasm and insights.

I just hope the new poster comes back!! It was nice to see a breath of life in this place again!

Too right !

sigh…and it’s gone…damn…

Finally was able to actually get into reading this thread and suprised to see some recent comments. I just brought myself to watch the final two episodes of BSG as I have been hanging onto them for a while as I relisten through GWC. I’m enjoying the Michael Hogan podcast (158) and it was great to hear the live cast for the finale.

SO SAY WE ALL!

I’ve read through this site a lot, and am currently rewatching the series (for like the 5th time in the past two years…I take it with me on business trips, and I have a LOT of business trips).

Anyway, here’s an angle I haven’t seen explored anywhere, and somehow popped into my head watching Sometimes a Great Notion (one of the saddest episodes, in my opinion, because I crush heavily on Dee  ) Has anyone thought that what ever Kara was, she set in motion the original events on Earth…as in, her Viper coming to Earth somehow triggered the nuclear war on Earth that sent the final 5 on a quest to find and warn the other colonies? It’s been a fun idea to ponder.

I’ve always thought this too, especially with the matching wreckage, and the whole God’s will thing…its possible she didn’t die when she “exploded” in that big pretty spiral nebual thing (its been a while since I watched BSG, maybe I will again with my GF in India for two weeks…ugh)…maybe she did a jump in time and space and did drop the nukes…and the same God’s will folk brought her back and erased her memory, that’s the only part that gets me…if she did this…why didn’t she remember it? It could be the same person…one of those “angels” so to speak, which would explain better …I also think back to the “all of this has happened before” theme of the show and that all the pieces and players were involved back then, this time it was Baltar who “pushed the button” so to speak…that time it was Kara
