hey, Cary Elwes (of Men-in-Tights fame, which is another movie I recommend Cody to watch) is enough reason to watch The Princess Bride.
Plus, it’s cast in the same mould as classic tales of knights & princesses.
Also, I don’t know if it’s just me, but for the longest time I’ve always confused Cary Elwes with a very young Bruce Campbell (back when he was in Army of Darkness).
YES!
Spend another moment never having seen Princess Bride?!
INCONCEIVABLE !
You’re damn skippy. Everyone should watch The Princess Bride!
Yes, he should!!
Huh. One no vote. I wonder who that was…
As an FYI Cody has agreed to watch, primarily because his GF insisted on it. Not helping the cause that he deeply believes it is a ‘chick flick’, but hopefully he will enjoy it for what it is.
I’m cooking up the crow. The humble pie is in the hat.
For awhile I confused Princess Bride with a movie about a middle eastern princess who marries an American soldier. The Princess and the Marine I guess?
Yes, You should have made this a non private poll so we can see that Cody voted no.
Anyone who refuses to watch this movie should have their Geek Card revoked permanently…
I like Cody’s GF.
Hope he enjoys it!
Watch this. Doooo eeeett!
Princess Bride is an integral part of any geek’s cultural literacy.
Anyone participating in the discussion: If you haven’t read the book, it’s worth checking out.
Everybody should watch The Princess Bride
I totally second this. As a devotee of the movie I can say with absolute authority the book is ten times better. You will then appreciate new things in the movie that they quickly reference but have pages dedicated to in the book.
Read the book. Watch the movie. Rinse, repeat.
