Caught the 3rd one on Youtube via the Galactica Sitrep site.
Looks good, amazing what they can do on their budget. Lots of SFX and action crammed in 2 minutes. November 24th cannot come sooner enough.
Cheers

Yeah it’s up on the SciFi site too. There was definitely a lot of money put into that one.
i like the explosions and pretty lights. needs more chicks tho.
My rule of thumb is “More shooty, less Booty!” This had shooty in spades. Sean will be apoplectic w/ Joy!!
I kept thinking about what Sean would say in this week’s podcast. He’s going to be going nuts, I’m sure. The SFX team for this series accomplishes some nearly miraculous work, don’t they? They even make the old-fashioned Cylon ships look menacing! (All right, all right: the old school ships looked cool back then. But I couldn’t think of them as menacing anymore…until now. WOW!)
Was anyone else reminded of Maelstrom as Adama dove into the heavy clouds and collided with the raider a la Starbuck ?? What a wicked two minutes !! That battle scene was fan-frakkin-tastic!
I was. And yes it was. The Old Man was a badass back in the day!
Maybe we’ll see him back in a Viper before the end of the 4th season…!!
Dee: “Admiral, you’ve turned off your targeting computer…What’s wrong!?”
Adama: “Nothing. Now shut up.”
I first brought this up on my podcast, but thought I’d share it with everyone here. Here’s another subtle nod to the original series, on Adama’s helmet. The original series helmet (inset) had the hawk-like design on the front, and Adama’s insignia seems to be derived directly from that.
Excellent catch Scryber! Your attention to detail and understanding of the homages to TOS are tremendous. I suspect this will be incredibly valuable not only in Razor, but in the fourth season as well.
Nice catch. You should cross-post this to the “78 BSG in the New BSG” thread.
Aewsome catch Scryber!!! Seeing that aliong with the old style Cylon raiders was just tight. Sean’s gonna go loopy over it, no doubt. Was frakkin awesome to see. Tho, I can’t quite agree with the “more shooty, less booty” philosophy - it was a sight to see
Hearing the screams come from the exploding Columbia was errie tho. Reminded me fo a filnm about a squadron of WWII bombers - one bomber was hit by a German fighter and cut right in half…could hear the screams of the pilots as it fell. Still trying to rememebr the same of the movie…
Can’t wait for Razor…
sniff Missin me some BSG
Me thinks that was from the movie “Memphis Belle”. The death cries from Columbia was… wrenching, especially towards the end when the static started to break off the transmission.
In a really scary, painful way it reminded me of the towers falling in New York, just so much instant loss of life and devastation.
Yeah, this one was worth the wait. If they continue like this, then the awkwardness of the first two will be quickly forgotten (even by Chuck and Sean). Seriously, there was more action in these 2 minutes than the entire second half of last season. More, please.
Architect - Memphis Belle - good pull! Thanks!
I’ve long maintained that BSG is best when they stick with shoot 'em ups in space, and stay away from the soap opera.
We over at serenitymovie.org who watch BSG have been trying to come up with new names for the show.

I truly hope Razor raises the stakes a bit. It’s been a disappointing year.
Just a quick note: I totally moved this over and made it the “official” Flashback #3 frak party. Thanks so much, Luc, for starting it when we got stuck out of town (and beat to hell when we got back) and forgot to create the thread.
Gotta politely disagree there!! Ron and David’s whole take on the series has been people more/lasers less. If you don’t care about someone who’s getting blown up then who cares if they’re getting blown up ? I love the battle scenes as much as anyone, probably more…I also love a great scene played out in a quiet room between characters that I care about…BSG walks that line just fine, in MHO.
