Razor Flashback #3 Frak Party

Then we agree to disagree. I love the series, and wouldn’t be posting on a BSG website if I didn’t.
This last year has been profoundly disappointing…I feel it has moved too far away from the fight scenes, and the militaristic viewpoint, that made it so gritty and special.
You are right - there are great scenes in a quiet room between characters I care about.
There has been too much soap opera, and not enough resolution. Not enough action.

We all see different things, and that’s okay.

The most recent webisode has given me a touch of hope.

Yes, judging by the third minisode I think there’s going to be a whopper of a special effects circus going on ! And I concur that the series has shifted away from the dogfighting, etc., which I also really love. Having listened to Ron M’s and David E’s podcasts, one point they both make several times is the difficulty in keeping within budget, and the apparently enormous costs associated with the CGI and special effects, to the point where it will determine which way a camera is pointed on a set (to eliminate the need for a green screen shot in a hanger bay, for instance), which costs much more than a shot with a viper or a plain wall in the background. And the dogfights and battles likewise chew up money like a lawnmower…One of them actually said something to the effect that if we go a few shows with no action scenes, get ready for something good because it means we had to save up over several shows to blow some cash on a big fight or effects sequence…So judging by the relative lack of booms and bangs in season 3, we are in for one hell of a time in Razor !!

Ack! Want to talk about flashback #4 and no thread!

That was suh-weet!
