So this is what I am thinking so far, and I know it’s probably all wrong anyway but here it goes… The orientation film talked about how Dharma was created by these two scientists back in the 70s on the island. Something about the island, either a natural occurance or by an experiment ( or experiments) gone wrong, killed off many many people and was set loose on the island (smokemoster?). The countdown clock and the numbers are a control device for something, I am not sure yet.
Everyone on that crashed on the island that we have seen flashbacks of were on that plane because they were looking for a way to escape something in their lives. It’s too much of a coincidence that so many people’s lives connected befoer the crash. Too many people have survived that crash for it to have just been an accident. I think something on that island chose that plane, chose the people on that plane and brought them there.
Someone is behind all this. So who could it be? Is this all one big experiment and everyone on the island is just a lab rat?
