OK, it is actually a French performing arts group using Giant Robot Spiders to aid in the festivities.

well guys the internet is officially over

Prince says so

we had a good run, might as well go scrap my computer and get what I can for it

“Even soft-jazz saxophonist Kenny G–a man no one ever thought would seem cooler than Prince–spoke out against Prince’s remarks…”

Ouch.

Apparently Edward Norton will not be reprising his role as Bruce Banner in the upcoming Avengers movie.

Not terribly suprising I guess…

read about that earlier…not surprising…a little dissapointing

That sucks. I much prefered Norton over Eric Bana…

The whole thing sounds dodgy. Either Edward Norton doesn’t play well with others — a pretty damaging accusation, IMO, and one we’ve never heard mention of before — or he wants too much money (despite claims to the contrary). A sad turn of events either way. I loved him as Banner.

I remember he had major creative differences with Marvel regarding the Hulk movie…not money, but actual character development issues…marvel got the final say, so maybe that had something to do with it…

Yeah, IIRC he was ‘a problem’ during the editing stage, which is interesting. Most actors aren’t even around when that happens. Methinks Ed is going to end up directing stuff.

And Brian Swardstrom’s letetr that is making the rounds onteh interwebs pretty much kills any chance of Norton being involved…in ANY Marvel film

Unless calling the Marvel Studios President “unprofessional, disingenuous and clearly defamatory” is a positive thing…

Thanks Badgerspoon, was that an open letter to the fans? If so it was pretty classy of him, or his agent insisted he smooth things over with Marvel and the fans… either way it was nice of him to address the issue.

He posted it to his Facebook page. It was inevitable that he’d have to address the issue himself personally. The fact that he’s not attacking anyone else really speaks volumes about his character, IMO.

Evidently Captain America and Thor will have 3D …Hivermind Discuss…

Oh–peep out the Thor thread to see Hopkins as Oidn–IMO, pretty durn sweet

Mark Hamill will be at Celebration V next month.

So if anybody of you will be out there, rejoice!

Mehhehehehehheheheh

The photo above shows a 33 feet tall Optimus Prime statue which was constructed completely out of junk car parts spotted at the Bird’s Nest at Beijing Olympic Park in China. The movie’s Optimus Prime is 32 feet tall and made of 10,108 parts. So this is in fact “life size.”

I wish this “everything must have 3D” fad would die soon. Like it has every other time before now. :frowning:

I’m pretty excited about that. I can completely accept Hopkins as Odin. The gravitas, the wry sense of humor… great casting.

What? Those two dimwitted foul-smelling nose-picking butt-scratching losers are coming back? What is MTV thinking?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
