Qho'as YOUE Doctor?

I think we can all aggree there is someone out of the ten doctorws that stands out the most. Whenever you hear the words “The Doctor” your deoctor is suealy the first image that comes to mind . Sometimes its your first doctor, sometimes it just is, now the fututrre companian’s statement got me to thinking “He’s the Doctor, but he’s not my doctor”, so who is your Doctor?

Trapper John, M.D.

If you’d asked me years ago I would have said Tom Baker, but after over-listening to the Big Finish line I’m torn between Davidson and McGan.

But Tennent rocks hard too. Don’t make me choose just one!

Shockingly, I’m listening to the BBC re-leases of 1st-3rd doctor stories and actually NOT liking Pertwee. And I clearly remember really liking him.

(OK-smartass answer for favorite doctor: Dr. Bernice Summerfield)

I see there is the compulsory and comincal Baltar option, but before seeing this thread I’d already suggested elsewhere that James Callis would be a good choice for the next Doctor

It was always Tom Baker for me, but now it’s Tennant, hands down.

James Callis would be brilliant. Perhaps a bit too like David Tennant. I don’t know, though, I think I could see it.

It was a hard choice for me between Eccleston and Tennant, as I love them both for different reasons.

But honestly David Tennant is my Doctor.

Shall we start a petition?

I’ve voted Baltar as he is Dr. Gaius Baltar. James Callis would be a great 11th Doctor whenever that day may come.

It used to be Tom Baker. Pertwee is pretty good–but maybe just because there were some really good episodes in that period. And I was in love with Sarah Jane Smith.

But now, I gotta go with David Tennant.

Christopher Eccleston was good, but I think he left before he got into his stride ~ Its David Tennant hands down for me:)

Though I adored Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor, I’m afraid David Tennant has stolen a bigger piece of my heart.

I’ve only seen the new series… the old ones were I’m afraid before my time. While Eccelstone was very, very good, I still like Tennant better. I find it interesting that the two portray very different Doctor in personality, yet both are just as engrossing.

Wow, difficult one … “My Doctor” was always Tom Baker as he was on when I was a youngun, but I really like David Tennant.

So I’m gonna cheat and say Classic Doctor Tom Baker and Nu Doctor David Tennant.

And as for James Callis playing the Doctor some day, brilliant idea, but I image him being more like Patrick Troughton. (not a bad thing)

When I first got into Doctor Who I didn’t think that I could like another Doctor as much as Christopher Eccleston. Now I can truly say that David Tennant is my favorite and is hilarious.

I went with Eccleston, pretty much because he was my first doctor. I love Tennant, but there was just something about Eccleston’s doctor that I loved. I wish he had stayed around a little while longer! Of course, I may change my mind because I am watching the Classic series right now, but I am only on Hartnell, so I have no idea about any of the other doctors!

I gotta go with Dave Tennant. There is just something magical about the range of emotions he went thru. I think its awesome how you can tell how close he can be with one of his companions but still see that it wasn’t the same as Rose. His and Rose’s relationship is one of my favorites in any story.

wow, i totally missed this thread after creating my own doing the same thing. . .oh well.

So, let me get this strait. William Hartnell played the Doctor from 1963-1966. On person voted him as their Doctor yet no one has claimed that they are over 50 in the age poll. I have a hard time believing that anyone could remember that we’ll enough and not be over 50. I for one smell a conspiracy and choose to believe that this person was somehow part of the JFK assassination. Why else would they be afraid to submit their age? They have been hiding out for 45 years and their love for the Who just gave them away. I’m dispatching the men in black.

Some of those adventures are available on DVD, and many are available as audio recordings from the BBC (also available on audible.com plug plug)
I’ve been listening to Patrick Trouton lately and leaning towards him for “favorite doctor” status and he was finished years before I was born.
(try “The Invasion” and “The War Games” to take up a full day of your life as examples-or get those audios from Audible (double plug!))

Some PBS stations picked up the earlier ones in the seventies and eighties. I’m guessing the Hartnell fan is in their fourties.
