Potential Spoiler: SciFi's "You Will Know the Truth"

Yeah, I couldn’t really pick out what people said, but I could figure out who said it. First is Leoben, then some chatter from a crowd, and then it’s Gaeta and Baltar with a quick clip of Starbuck. The only actual words I could figure out was Baltar saying something about a “our secret” and Gaeta saying, “So I guess a pity frak is out of the question?”

If you look in your browser cache the audio file is 2467KB. Rename the file extension to .MP3, because it’s a stereo CD quality MP3. It even has a MP3 tag “REVOLUTIONBSG” Fire it up in your favorite media player.

The left and right audio channels have different sounds mixed in.

Please listen for yourself first. Have fun. Here’s what I got. Haven’t played it backwards.

LEFT CHANNEL

“Every revolution begins with one small act of courage, but I hope you know how serious this is. I hope you understand that this will have consequences, deadly consequences.” - Zarek

(crowd noise)

(the Watchtower signal radio sound) OR (a toaster)

“Order! Can the (garbled words) come to order.”

“Kara, this is hopeless.” - Helo

“I’m serving in the correct administration.” - Gaeta

“You know exactly what I’m talking about, our little secret.” - Baltar (echoes and repeats)

“The world is frakked!” - unknown speaker

“So I guess a pity frak’s out of the question then?” - Gaeta

Church bell

RIGHT CHANNEL

“(Believe me?) one day soon there’s going to be a reckoning. And once again people are going to have to cast their allegiance.” - Gaeta

(crowd noise)

(Kara speaking - garbled)

“Kara, this is hopeless.” - Helo

(Kara speaking - garbled)

“…serving in the correct administration.” - Gaeta

“(garbled)… will definitely… (garbled)” - Kara

“You know exactly what I’m talking about…” - Baltar

“Or anyone else.” - Sharon

“There are those who believe that life here” - Patrick MacNee, Count Iblis from the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica series introduction

“So I guess a pity frak’s out of the question then?” - Gaeta

(woman laughing)

(more muffled television)

Church bells

Interesting, no?

Holy crap! Nice find!

ETA: Are the repeated lines in stereo?

pointing out that the clock chimes 12 times guys, methinks not coincidence.

and the fact that they’ve put out one video that leads you to believe that the fc is gaeta and another that its starbuck - it makes me think whether these
“clues” are actually relevant towards the identity of the fc, or just another way to frak with our heads.

By this point I think the answer is obvious. Suggest that today we focus on good will towards men, machines, combinations of the two and those confined to life (of a sort) in tubs of goo.

So the newest clue is the old ship showing its age? Is that all it is I wonder?
I think when Adama sees something significant it spurs him to do something, so something will surely follow from the cracks in the bathroom.
Of course it could be more than just wear and tear. It could be sabotage which would be soooo boring.

Awesome, Katebo!

As far as these hints leading to “the truth,” I think they’re giving us clues as to what will happen but not really anything about the Final Cylon, with the exception of the clip of Lee with the press.

Here’s my cobbled-together theory of what these clips and the promos suggest is going to go down in early S4.5:

-When Earth turns out to be a not-so-stellar place, Roslin has her own little Adama-like meltdown and hides on Galactica while Zarek, Lee, and Adama are left trying to keep the Fleet from falling apart.

-Lee holds a press conference to quell the population’s fears as acting president (perhaps Roslin has given up her presidency to him, at least temporarily). He tells the press corps that the Final Cylon is dead, either because D’Anna is more forthcoming later on and explains why she’s not looking for the Fifth in the Fleet, or because that’s the logical conclusion Lee chooses to draw from D’Anna’s actions.

-Zarek, none too happy about being passed over for the presidency yet again, organizes a coup against Roslin. He knows that Adama will back Roslin no matter what, so he realizes he has to take over Galactica as well as the government. He enlists a very angry, disenfranchised Felix Gaeta, who is completely fed up with the human-Cylon alliance (perhaps influenced by the events of the webisodes, who knows).

-Gaeta arranges a fake fire alarm to get key people rounded up into certain areas of the ship, including Starbuck. Narcho has thrown in with Gaeta and Zarek, in part because he doesn’t trust Starbuck or the people who have put their faith in her.

-While all this coup-staging is going on, Adama is trying to figure out whether he can trust his old friend Tigh or not (and getting really drunk in the process). He gives Tigh a gun and tries to egg Tigh into taking him out, but Tigh proves his worth and his ability to think for himself by not falling for it.

-Adama, still pissed, goes back to his quarters. He notices the broken mirror has been replaced, and that there’s a crack in the ceiling. Perhaps somebody has been tampering with his quarters, attempting to assassinate him?

-Also at some point during the coup, Roslin and possibly Baltar head over to the Cylon baseship to try to figure out what went wrong and what they should do next. Tory is fatalistic. Because they are on the basestar, Zarek can’t get to either of them.

-Cylons within the Fleet are abducted and thrown into the brig by those staging the coup. They probably can’t kill them outright because of the big, bad basestar sitting outside, armed with nukes. The rebels have to get hold of nukes of their own on Galactica before they even have a shot of taking out the Cylons.

-Zarek’s coup gets too bloodthirsty for Felix’s conscience, prompting Felix to confront Zarek and try to get out.

-Adama rounds up Tigh, Lee, Kara, and a few other faithful crewmembers not currently cooling their heels in the brig and tries to retake the ship. He is leery about shooting at Galactica crew members, but Kara is not.

-Zarek’s coup is unsuccessful. Gaeta is thrown in the brig for his involvement. Baltar visits Gaeta in the brig, an ironic reversal of the events of “Taking a Break…” Gaeta talks to Baltar about where his idealism has gotten him (legless and in line to be executed as a mutineer, perhaps) and just hopes that someday people will understand that he only did what he thought was right and why he thought it was right.

Now for some larger leaps given what we’ve got:
-This one is a big leap, but I think Roslin’s “I’m coming for all of you!” in the trailer might be her trying to retake Galactica, perhaps with the aid of the Cylons.

-I don’t know whether Adama in the airlock is a dream sequence (it’s colored strangely) or if at some point Zarek’s coup captures Adama and is about to put him out the airlock but Kara, Lee, and Tigh rescue him in the nick of time.

-Caprica is still pregnant, D’Anna is still up to no good, and Cavil is still out there, waiting in the wings.

-My guess is that the events described here don’t all happen in the first episode back; they have to have time to deal with the disappointment of Earth before jumping into any coup plot.

I think it is sabotage, or something weird is up. Adama put his hand through the mirror right before they arrived at Earth, yet now it’s all fixed up. I think that’s what spurs him to recognize something is wrong.

Or, maybe it’s a glitch in the Matrix.

I think your ideas on the story are probably more correct than incorrect given the previews and clues we’ve seen (I have stayed relatively spoiler-free and stick with what SciFi puts out). Zarek is definitely up to something and Roslin gets sidelined to a certain extent for certain. One hope I have is that the coup/political mess that is about to happen will not be the main theme of S4.5.

I believe Lucy Lawless is only in one more episode because the next one was filmed at the same time as Revelations. So I am hoping the Final Cylon is going to get revealed relatively soon in the last 10 episdoes.

Well, OK, I’m in a rut then.

i momentarily chuckled when i saw that no one had commented that there has been no new “clue”. what we’ve come to expect. i’d actually be curious to know what kind of people work for skiffy, doing the everyday jobs. i wonder if any of them are out of high school

You know the old saw about “it’s not the airplanes that land safely that make the news, it’s the ones that crash?”

With Skiffy, it’s the ones that land safely.

i like that. much better then what i said

Yeah I keep checking for that clue that was supposed to be out on Jan 2nd. Nothing Skiffy does really surprises me anymore, but I just assumed a major network (owned by one anyway) would keep to their own schedule. That’s just expected of any professionals.
I’ll give 'em the benefit of a doubt and concede that maybe they had a catastrophic failure of a server somewhere or something. I won’t entertain the idea that someone just went on vacation and forgot to post the clue.

I am confident that someone just went on vacation and forgot to post the clue. Or the so-called clue.

By the way Pike - There are two things about flying that do not matter - the sky above you and the runway behind you.

Perhaps the clue is…there is no clue.

Maybe I’m just over-thinking this.

So I’m just gonna go ahead and comment my opinions/theories on the clues so far.

  1. Seems most likely Six, the Hybrid, or the Cylon God, and probably not related to the final cylon.

  2. Reiterating to make sure we get the point.

  3. Lee and company don’t actually know anything about the final cylon and just covered to the press.

  4. Starbuck burns her own viper, with Leoben.

  5. Cylon baby is special.

  6. Baltar is the Cylon God, or at least that’s what Head Six is trying to tell him.

  7. Roslin is out of the picture (Get it? Double meaning!).

  8. Baltar, the Cylon God, connecting with one of the NFF in an eerily sincere way.

  9. Adama is pissed at a cylon (or suspected cylon), most likely Tigh.

  10. I’d love it if this were a Head-Felix (the playful weirdness, the way Baltar’s all rigid), but failing that, Felix seems to have hit rock bottom or snapped in one way or another, in order to be having a civil, even friendly conversation with Baltar. It seems possible it’s hinting at him being the final cylon (in which case it seems like Baltar might know), but it could just as easily be straightforwardly about Felix talking about how much people don’t know about him.

  11. Many different totally obscure meanings. I can’t dissect this one right now.

  12. Everyone thinks Starbuck is a cylon.

  13. Rehashing.

  14. Time is running out because the Galactica is falling apart.

  15. It’s as if Gaius is just flat-out saying ‘Felix is the final cylon!’ with that ‘if you’re hungry for redemption’ remark, but other than that it sounds like he’s trying to play peacemaker again between the factions (not to mention, once again, overestimating how much Felix will be willing to listen to him).

And… that’s it. I feel like I should make some joke about ‘there is no 16’ or ‘clue 16 is a lie’, but…

After the most recent webisode I’m thinking Felix goes to Baltar because he just doesn’t kn0w what to believe anymore. I’m also thinking Baltar knew more than Felix thought he did & never said anything to him. This conversation is them having it out on what really happened on Caprica.

Finally they put out the new clue. It’s another one of those with sound bites mashed together. I am sure it will quickly be dissected and played backwards for extra meanings soon! (but not by me :p)

For #4…I was thinking from the previews that Starbuck found the viper burnt.
For #6…I know this is a theory out there, but Head Six was always grooming Baltar to be a servant of God and never to be God. But it’s still possible the Cylons could come to believe he is God.
For #7…I agree that’s what they were saying. What I don’t get is why she is still dying with all that Cylon technology around. The Cylons can grow human bodies which shows a complete mastery of biochemistry, bend space and build ships that repair themselves but they can’t cure cancer? Hmmmm.

wooo webisode 9. so they decide to resolve the what did baltar say to gaeta question in the webisodes. altho there were alot of flashbacks to taking a break… for a webisode.

edit: craap i totally just realized that i posted this in the completely wrong section on the forum. mah bad.
