Potential Spoiler: SciFi's "You Will Know the Truth"

Anybody else seen this?

SciFi is putting out “clues” to what’s going to happen in the upcoming episodes, with a new clue every few days.

I can’t play sound on my computer where I’m at right now, but frak, the
fetus with the glowing spine
is freaky. Without sound, I’ve got no clue what’s up with the middle two clues.

Any speculations?
The second one sounds like someone moving quickly and then a male voice asking “Kara, what does it mean?”
I have no idea on that one!
#3 - a press conference w/ Lee stating “Last question”, a reporter asking “Do you have any information on the identity of the 5th cylon?”, then Lee replies “We believe (silent bleep-out of whatever he says)” and then he gets the heck out of there.
Figures…

Rats. Increasing the Page ID redirects back to the latest one.

Maybe its the return of the
Star Child from 2001?
Especially given what a glowing spine is usually associated with.

i know its been brought up countless times before, but if someone wouldnt mind telling me how to write spoiler text… itd be greatly appreciated.

[ spoiler ] at the beginning and [ /spoiler ] at the end, but without the spaces!

Perhaps I am passing on old news but I happened to notice this while surfing the scifi site and thought I would share it with you. It’s a teaser trailer for the remaining episodes of the series. My personal opinion is as per usual, it inspires far more questions than answers such as;

1.) What's up with Gaeta and Zarek?

2.) Why is Adm. Adama standing blindfolded in an airlock with a note from his
       mommy pinned to his chest?

Looks like we're in for one helluva ride! I can't wait

Hooooly wow that is one intriguing trailer, makes next to know sense having not seen season four point one yet…although i thinm i’mma go buy the dvd’s now though…
The second one may well be Kara with Lee(?) finding her “old” viper on Earth and him asking her - “what does it mean?”

The “we think the FC is…” could be a red herring. Lee seems pretty smug about whatever it is, and pretty pleased with himself when Zarek asks him what that was all about.

It’s been a long time since we have seen a glowing spine. And then only in a fully adult, manufactured skin job. So now we have a fetus with a glowing spine. IF that means anything, then clearly we have pure skin jobs or mixed humans/Cylons, who seemingly are conceived and age. Of course we already knew that about the latter group.

Tough to say whether the picture is merely “symbolic” for the show (like The Last Supper photo) or inidicates that we have “another” out there yet to be born. One thing seems clear (which means it may not be) - the fetus is not in utero.
By the way, if you still are wondering - there is more than one Ressurection ship. Razor occurs before we encounter the Ressurection ship, when the plan is thwarted by Helo to “infect”, it with the encephalitis viris. If not, how would the humans know the purpose of a Resurrection ship at that point in the saga?
The baby with the glowing spine is an image from an ad SciFi did for the second half of season 2. So, while Tigh seems to have impregnated Caprica Six, which seems to suggest THAT’S what this image refers to, and given the obviously tongue-in-cheek nature of the press conference clip, I’m choosing to remain completely skeptical.

By the way, the audio clip of Kara and someone else walking through the forest (that someone else sounds like Leoben to me, BTW) can be seen in the trailer. Just sayin’.

But the resurrection hub was destroyed, which suggests that all of those resurrection ships are now useless.
Except that the fact that they attempted to “infect” it post Razor indicates that it was functioning.

Sorry, sorry, sorry - you’re talking about the hub introduced in “Guess What’s Coming to Dinner” - later in the chronology - and ultimately destroyed.
Yeah but it’s with Leoben.

Lee says: “We believe… Cylon to be dead.” He’s not smug or at all pleased with himself - he thinks he’s just made a gaffe.

As Armando says, this is from a Season Two promo and is probably just a rehash for the sake of hype (i.e. it’s an official spoof - check out the voiceover), though it could refer to the way the Final Five reincarnate (e.g. Ellen dies and through her bond with Tigh is reincarnated as his child). The Final Cylon looks to be Ellen or Cally given SyFy’s recent spoiler (if you can trust Michael Hinman’s opinion) listing five characters, one of whom is the Final Cylon, two of whom are in the Last Supper photo, and one of whom was in the fleet when D’Anna said the Fifth wasn’t.
Razor (mainly) occurs between The Captain’s Hand and Downloaded, long after we’ve encountered Resurrection Ships, which are indeed useless now that the Hub has been destroyed.

What’s the nature of the gaffe?

I’ll agree with you on one thing - if you get past the widow’s peak, which is the one truly recognizable characteristic in D’Anna’s sketch of the FF, the FC is female. Also, probably we can take as accurate the “facts” that the FC is not in the Last Supper ad and D’Anna’s comment. Of course, we do not know one way or the other whether the FF types resurrect themselves.

Which leads to a couple of old thoughts that I’ll resurrect one more time (being well aware of the arguments to the contrary):

  1. “We” here on Earth are Cylons of the FF type. “We” are not the “same” as the humans of BSG.

  2. The FC is, indeed, D’Anna -although of the FF type and not the S7 type. The “joke” comment to Roslin was not a joke after all - any more than the EO of the Pegasus’ comment to Tigh about Cain shooting his predecessor was a “joke”.

Razor (mainly) occurs between The Captain’s Hand and Downloaded, long after we’ve encountered Resurrection Ships, which are indeed useless now that the Hub has been destroyed.

But is it not in Razor that the humans first understand what they are due to Thrace’s renegade mission?

Either revealing that they believe the Final Cylon is dead, or the snippet spoken whilst Lee’s face is obscured by a reporter. Your guess is a good as mine but Lee was clearly disappointed and annoyed with himself after the press conference and Zarek too was surprised at Lee’s revelation.

Sounds like you’re not keen on Ellen as the Final Cylon (this thread’s marked as a spoiler thread but just say if you want me to use tags). Neither am I. I don’t like the idea of any dead person being the Final Cylon. Potentially it’s a red herring and the real Final Cylon will be revealed (or the dead Final Cylon will return) somewhere around Islanded in a Stream of Stars. Given how much they’ve pushed not leaving the Final Cylon reveal until the end of the series though I think this would be weak sauce.

I think that’s right. The Colonials don’t know about (and therefore don’t have) blood type O for one thing. Cylons do.

I’m not sure what you mean; in what way?

Hmm…interesting take. I don’t remember hearing about blood types, however. Are you assuming that’s what was happening with Hera’s fetal blood or did you catch something in an episode that I might have missed (I’m doing a re-watch these days, so I’d love to know what to watch out for)?

Oh, and welcome to GWC, Genji2000!

Your read on this is a lot closer to the truth than mine. The rub, as always, is that the snippet “clues” raise more questions than they answer - especially given that they hardly ever reveal anything at all.

I am hardly the arbiter of what qualifies as a spoiler on this site - the general rule has been, “when in doubt…” Having said that, this topic has been thoroughly explored (without any resolutions, of course) in public here. We’ve been all over the Ellen thing (and my way out there D’Anna hypo). I’m with you - for the FC to be a character that “died” would be (to me) a huge disappointment dramatically. Which raises the question - did Ellen die? What happened to the body? Etc. (I know, that would seem like a cheap trick too.)
The key to the FC has always been the “great need for redemption theme” stated by the OGG in Razor. Cally - nope. Ellen - not really. D’Anna - hmmm.

I think that’s right. The Colonials don’t know about (and therefore don’t have) blood type O for one thing. Cylons do.

Which is further evidence that the FC has not died and resurrected. Unless we here on Earth do so, and I’ve been kept in the dark.

I’m not sure what you mean; in what way?

Simply that in Razor the Colonials learned what a resurrection ship was.

OT, didnt that happened in resurrection ship pt. 1… when gina told baltar what it was in a recon photo. in razor, we had the first human see a real “living” hybrid, kendra shaw, and then she blew herself to bits. So i dont know what humanity as a whole really learned about the cylons in razor…

You are absolutely correct. I am confusing my Adm. Cain episodes. Time for yet another rewatch.
