I refuse to get Blu-Ray until the DRM is as trivial to bypass as DVDs’.

Isn’t it? I mean…I have no problem ‘acquiring’ bluray sourced stuff

There are ways, but it’s not as simple as DeCSS.

That’s going to be simple, I only own an handfull :
Watchmen
Total Recall
Rambo (4)
Fight Club
Inception
Toy Story 3
Up

That’s it. I don’t really care about the format of what I buy. I just want to have the movie. If it’s the same price I’ll get the BD but if there is a big difference between DVD and BD I’ll get the cheapest. Special mention to my PS3 because I would never have bought a BD player (and it does upconversation for regular DVD).

My List is short:

None BluRays.

Oh Wesley, you poor bastard.

Monsters, Inc.
Iron Man 2

I just got the three-version volumes of those so I can wait to see them on Blu-Ray when I get a player.

Yes, I can’t wait. I hear 2007 is a good year…unless you are a fan of BSG. :stuck_out_tongue:

Terminator 2
Casino Royale

Blade
Iron Man 2
Spiderman 3 (found not bought)
Stargate
V for Vendetta

That’s all for now

I expected more early adopters tbh

No Blu-ray player…no blu-ray discs. Why bother jumping on that wagon when you know they will have something new in a year or so and have to replace your collection yet again…at a higher price.

Watchmen
Underworld
Constantine
V for Vendetta
Training Day
Avatar
Swordfish
The Road Warrior
Lethal Weapon
A Scanner Darkly
The Dark Knight
Star Trek (11)
Inception
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Sanctuary S1 & S2
Fringe S1
Inglorious Basterds
The Thing
Sin City
Moon
Shaun of the Dead
Sunshine
Ghostbusters
Troy
The Departed
Cloverfield
The Fifth Element
Dark City
Labyrinth
The Dark Crystal
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Pan’s Labyrinth

Think that’s it; at least it’s all I can see from right here, and I’m too lazy to go move anything around & see if there are any mixed amongst the DVDs in the second layer.

Best blu Ray choice I ever made: Inception

I’ve only got a few:
Mad Men S2-3
Fight Club
Firefly the series
The Princess Bride
Inglorious Basterds
Ghost in the Shell

The last 3 were gifts, so yeah, I have a very small and odd collection of BRs.

So far I have:

Dark City
Diary of the Dead
Harry Potter 6
Inception
Iron Man
Kick-Ass
Scott Pilgrim
Resident Evil Extinction
Paranormal Activity
Switchblade Romance
Tin Man
Zack & Miri

Word of warning: The Tom Jane Punisher bluray is total garbage. Quality’s fine but there’s no special features and the menu is like…looks like something you or I could make with dvd burning software

Coco:
What’s the Firefly BluRay like? Big jump in picture quality or not? Just wondering.

I have learned to wait until the price goes down, and if you keep an eye on stock quite a few good movies fall into the $10 to $15 range quickly. Then seem to disappear for a while.

Yeah the majority of my collection is in the 10-18 dollar range
