The sun is actually setting here right now, so kinda cool.
those Bat Creatures really like her Body of work.
I wonder if it is physically possible to have a double stacked ring like that. Or would their gravity pull them together
When that spike came through the wall next to Imam’s head I almost launched myself out of the theater seat the first time I saw this.
No gas giant blotting it from the sky though, I’d wager.
Maybe, at least for a while. Most rings are probably moons that broke apart or never fully formed, so they’d probably be in separate orbits.
They appear to not have car batteries in the future.
Well Saturns rings are mostly ice. And while there are distinct bands they are still in the same plane. I would think most Moons would be as well
Duracell. The battery stranded space travelers count on most…
Captured asteroids would be in a different plane.
I loved the image of them wrapped in bendy glow sticks running thru the dark
This is one of my favorite shots in all of moviesl
That is also why if you are stranded on a planet with a sissy English man you shoot him in the head right away .
And there’s Newt, hiding in plain sight.
Why don’t you put her in charge, man!?
no Women. no Children.
GAHHHh that part freaked me the hell out always.
This would be so much better with Surround Sound.
I just try to imagine the evolution of this planet. The large creatures were killed at least in the last century or two, since exposed skeletons would degrade over time. But they’d take millions of years to evolve, so how often could these eclipses happen? Unless the photophobic creatures were only recently introduced to this planet?
Out of curiosity are you guys watching the normal version or the Directors Cut?
i have been thinking the same thing. I think the spade shape of the heads would make it easier to burrow in the ground. But i fail to see the advantage of flight. Unless the large creatures are the the ones who burrowed to escape the heat and the smaller bat like creatures killed them eventually. Perhaps the under world is riddles with large caves which would explain the need for wings…
Yeah, I was also thinking maybe it was a case of parallel evolution, with larger creatures on the surface and the bat creatures in underground caverns. Maybe the survey team from 22 years before breached those caverns and brought the two ecosystems together for the first time, with disastrous results.
