Photography - Project 365

I really like this Casilda. It feels cool.

Do you all take your cameras with you everywhere, I need to set up a photobucket to use for my pictures

Congrats Shrekjdr !!
How wonderful.

All the best to Jeremy Matthew and his Mama & his Papa !!

I like this. I t reminds me of “roads not taken”

Interesting shapes.

I just love this. I want to be there. Thank you.

Nice skies.

I have a small point and shoot (Canon A560) so it’s easy to pop in my purse and carry around, taking pictures when I see something interesting. That said, it doesn’t go everywhere with me (I lament the times I see something that would make a really cool photograph only to realize I left my camera at home!!), but using a smaller one does make it a bit more mobile, at least for me.

I use flickr to upload my pictures (it’s also a free service), and we have a flickr group for Project 365, too.

I’ve been taking pictures, but haven’t gotten around to posting any… until today. Here goes: Photos from June 3-6.

Vermont farm field with some gentle rolling pastures. Miles away from paved roads, and in a very small town. Very peaceful place:

Painted Turtle I found wandering in the grass. It was actually moving along at a pretty good pace.

Deer I saw on some nature conservancy land. By the by, they want to exterminate the critters. No kidding. There is some endangered plant species in the area, and they fear the deer will destroy them. They issue hunters frequent doe permits, but as you can see, good luck buddy. I know how nature works. The land opens up, and outlying deer see it and think, huh, looks like a good place to live. Not unlike humans. Sorry for the long winded description.

Fire!

Lucky, that’s a lovely photograph with the deer - the vegetation is gorgeous and I can almost feel a breeze!

June 20, which shows us what happens after it rains. Even on the crazy manicured university property.
