well I’m glad that I saw it, it was very pretty and a very well made film, but I do have to admit, I don’t think I’ll watch it again.
Maddening ending. Did she really become an Underworld princess, or was it all the oxygen-starved fantasy of a dying girl whose life of hardship and pain was finally coming to an end?

Yep. Wow. Wonderfully photographed, great story, not something that could be told in Hollywood. It will take me a little time to process this and I don’t know if I could watch it again either.
Really good movie though.
Princess. If it had ended on just the little bloody girl I would have went with the latter. But there is the blossoming flower with the insect, that nails it for me.
And definitely a worlds colliding moment - I’m kind of thinking in Spanish right now. But you all are watching a movie in Spanish, too… but we’re talking about it in English?

You are much more optimistic than I am! I want to believe the princess, but the bigger part of me is fairly convinced it was all in her mind. But in the end, that’s what matters, isn’t it? What she experienced.
OK, its real late and I have to get up early, but I have to change the tone, otherwise I’m going to have trouble sleeping. I got Rifftrax Shorts DVD done by the guys who did MST3K. I’ll watch one, laugh and go to bed and think abouth this movie tomorrow.
