“My mother told me to be wary of Fauns.”

Is this our first non-English film? It’s gonna be fun reading subtitles and frakkin at the same time.

We’ve done it with some of the anime frak parties. It takes some getting used to.

Argg, I’ll be out that night. Now I’m going to have to leave a little early to run home to frak party the movie.

I’ve had this movie but I haven’t taken the time to watch it yet, so I’ll be a noob for this one.

This film is great… it kind of freaks me out, but it’s fabulous

Oooh this is a really good one. I even have it on blu-ray (oooh aaaah)!

According to Guillermo, this is the sister story to ‘The Devil’s Backbone’. Has anybody seen that?

No though people keep telling me to. I’m shamefully not as up on certain areas of Spanish language film as others… :stuck_out_tongue:

I made it! pant pant pant
Wait a minute, I have to catch my breath. Why is my right side tingling?

First time I saw this I was blown away by the fantastic imaginery vision of this film. It is an awesomely updated fairy tale.

I just want to remind people (for no good reason) that I’m a noob to this movie. 3 minutes to go…

I’m ashamed (?) to admit that I’ve never managed to get all the way through it. too violent/horrific for me. We’ll see how I handle it this time.

I also wonder how Spanglish-y I’m going to get in this frak party :stuck_out_tongue:

Now is a time as good as any. There are some great Spanish directors making wonderful stuff, to name a few Guillermo del Toro (of course), Alfonso Cuarón, and Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Party On now!

Speaking of, I always get so draw in to the child character. It makes the violence so much more.

Such as awesome contrast between fairy tale world and war-torn real-world.

So beautifully shot. I was so impressed with the cinematography.

not to be pedantic… but they’re all Mexican  film in Latin America, I’m good. It’s Spain-Spanish films that I’m not as knowledgeable about.

That introduction is very poetic. Me gusta.

I don’t know if it was suposed to start this way, but I have spanish language with subtitles, so I won’t be posting much becuase I’ll be reading.

Cute mom, even with the vomiting.

The Captain looks hungry when he feels her belly. Creepy.
