No !! As soon as I read your description the other day I had vague mental visuals of the show you’re talking about, but it just hasn’t come to the surface yet !! But you’re NOT crazy…I remember (sorta) that show too. It’ll come to us, I’m sure. In the meantime it’ll be there in the background, gently nagging.

:D:D does the I’m-not-nuts Kermit dance

I think his name was Peter? And I remember he had to stare at things really hard…

In the meantime, I propose a dark, gritty:

Greatest American Hero !

Teacher Ralph Hanley is facing termination for multiple counts of improper moral conduct and misappropriation of school funds. He’s losing his house, and has a huge vicodin addiction. He’s on the way down , and fast.

When Ralph stumbles upon an alien suit during a drug-hazed tryst with a teenaged hooker on the outskirts of town, he attempts to use it for his own purposes…breaking into the vault of a large bank in the city’s financial district. Due to his lack of knowledge about the suit, he inadvertently levels half the block, killing and maiming hundreds.

Stunned at what he has done, Ralph escapes to a seedy hotel on the bad side of town, where he scores vicodin from FBI agent Bill Maxwell, a hard-core alcoholic who’s out on a week-long bender to try and erase the pain of his lost career: Maxwell, once a renowned and decorated agent, has fallen into a secret alliance with the Columbian Cartel and is now a major player in their drug smuggling operations. His marriage is over, and he is contemplating suicide.

The two bond over a bleery weekend of Skinimax, cheap vodka, and bad Chinese food, and Ralph shares the secret of the suit. Maxwell sees this as his ticket out of the Cartel, and implores Ralph to use the suit again to wipe them out, save Maxwell’s career, and make amends for the suffering Ralph caused during the bank heist.

Unsure, Ralph confides in his sometimes girlfriend, Lawyer Pam Davidson (who, btw, is SMOKIN’ hot). Unknown to him, though, Davidson is firmly in the pocket, and sometimes bedroom, of crime kingpin and international arms dealer Frank Togliano.

Dark gritty realistic hilarity ensues.
