Seriously, Casilda points were great. Sci-fi and objectifying women stems from the early pulp sci-fi mags catering to their audience. I guess it caught on. There be positive examples like Alien and Sig Weaver and others but I’ve got to get back to the frak party.
Hmm…don’t watch game shows so I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Models in Leia bikinis, though, may make me want to find clips, at the very least.
Listerfiend, I have to ask: where did you get your cool ass signature? That’s awesome.
And don’t forget the 77 reasons Shatner thread to which I recently added a very sexy, masculine picture of the Shat.

And while we’re at it, we should clearly keep in mind that the most objectified object in scifi will always be the kick-ass starship. I can see the 1701-D going: everybody’s always looking at my curves!
This sounds exactly like the kind of question the internet was designed to answer. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are websites dedicated to ennumerating how many ways one could beat a horse to death…and no…I have no desire to go looking…
Last night, I kept posting after she did. I felt like I was stalking. I received the restraining order this morning. Wow internet justice is quick. Oh wait it says I need to stay away from dead horses.
Thanks for all the stalker love, but I got off the forum to watch BSG. Every now and then I have to attend to my life. My son and I are making a movie soon about my devotion to BSG and GWC, I’ll keep you posted.
Armando, if you click on the picture it takes you to the site where you can make an animated “Userbar”, and there’s some links on that page to the archives where you can pick out the different pictures. i had to specially make the GWC one, and I’m not sure if it’ll will show up on a search for it, so let me know if you’re interested.

Didn’t Dostoyevsky already cover that in Crime and Punishment?

Naww…showing support for our Casilda…Slave Leia was great when I was 22, but as a mature and world weary adult I see and agree that to perpetuate the whole thing is tedious and degrading. It worked for 20 minutes in the movie, no need to repeat forever.
I’m really getting the impression that Lucas has become a tool.
