This is my first con like this - how far in advance do u think i should go to get a seat for the BSG panel with grace park and tamoh?

Depends on how many people are there and what other guests they have. If the panels are in a HUGE room I would try to get there maybe 30 minutes before. Maybe more if the con is packed. Check the autograph lines, if they are long that should give you an idea of how many people are going to be at the panel.
Furthest I have ever had to sit back at a BSG panel was third row, and that was when I pretty much just showed up 5-10 minutes before it started. However, the NY Comic Con could be much much bigger.
Hmm…I thought I would be able to simply swing by during a lunch hour. Is there a schedule posted where we can see when these Helo and Athena events are taking place?

If anyone has a suggestion for a place in that area, please throw it out. If no one has any ideas I’ll pick one off of sidewalk.com
Given the relative working locations of people, West side is the best choice, and far enough north from Times Square is key as well as easy access to a subway. We might even get Yorick to come down from Columbia!

I am actually going to go up to 59th and Broadway today and scope out a location. If you are around, want to lend a hand? 1:30ish?
Wish I could. As GR mentioned, I’m on vacation this week. If it’s nice, Central Park is right there. If not, there’s always the Whole Foods in the Time Warner Building. There’s also the Associated Market on 57th and Broadway. There’s loads of places to eat, depending on what people want. I hope the weather’s good since the park is hopping this time o’ year.
whole foods is good. though that place gets massive lines, at least at dinner time. one place i go to is - bread soul cafe- at 63rd and broadway…then you can walk into the park- just a block away…and it is a bit less crowded than at the 59th st entrance to the park…
i don’t have any specific lunch spots at 59th st.
