Matrix: Reloaded Re-watch

Official discussion thread for the second of the Matrix movies, Reloaded!

I love those posters.

You know the drill. Tune in next week, same bat-time, same bat-channel, for Matrix Reloaded.

Sunday 4 P.M (EST)

So…
3 minutes to go and nobody’s here…

Did anyone start the party?

Well I started the movie at 4, but no one else was around… so I’ve just been watching while I’ve been making lunch

So… anybody out there?

Hello?

Yaaaaa hoooooooooo…???

And PS - I have only seen bits and pieces of this movie, I’d never seen it all the way through before. Amazing, isn’t it

hey Casilda, where are you at?

The rave just finished

are you at the point where neo talks with the old man?

at this very minute yes its just finishing

there talk is a great comparison for what we do to ourselves. we build machines to help us out and then we forget how to do it ourselves.

yeah it is more interesting than I remember it being, though I feel like most films/books/TV etc that deals with humanity and machines in any sci-fi sort of way totally deals with that idea.

And is it just my copy or my TV, or is the sound really out of balance? The music is blaring, and I can barely hear the dialogue.

i think scifi is the best medium to explore these ideas.

this talk with the oracle about choice makes me think about the relationship between man and god.

Awww… what can I say, I’m a sucker for action scenes. All this is missing is pretty lights in space.

Thats the Wahcowskis for ya. Even V for Vendetta which they only wrote, has sound problems. Whatever they touch will destroy your ears.

yes, the matrix has some of the best fight scenes ever. in this one it is amazing because you know that if smith just keeps replicating you can’t truly defeat him but Neo isn’t scared or worried, he just gets tired of the pointlessness and says “see ya”.

Sometimes turning up the treble and down the bast helps. If you have a nice stereo make sure the center channel is up and the left, right and rear are down. I think they just want to try to keep us in suspense the whole movie.

LOL perhaps the motivation is there… but I don’t want my neighbors to kill me, so I actually put the subtitles on so I don’t miss any dialogue
