I get into metal every now and again but the new ps3 commercial has that song in my head.
Not to sound childish, but FRACKIN A! i will be playing this game today.
Just got my Limited Edition in the mail … freaked out, then opened and am about to start playing it and just noticed there is a Battlestar Galactica contest card inside which i thought funny as hell. Welp time to disappear from the world for a few days.
I really wish I was able to buy it today.
I’ll hopefully be immersed in this game come winter break.
Tell me if its worth the $60! 
I finished Mass Effect the other day. I wish I could give a solid idea of how long I played for but I never turned my xbox off between sessions so the clock reads in at 69 hours or so. Suffice it to say (and I wish I had some more interesting/profound words for it) it’s absolutely awesome. It’s one of those games that relies on the sum of its parts.
I was absolutely blown away by how un-cliche the storyline was and I’ll leave it at that. There are definitely moments where you’ll stop and stare at that dialogue tree because the choices you have to make are huge. I’d talk more about those choices but I think spoiling any of them would be doing players an injustice. There are numerous points throughout the game where even mentioning them is essentially spoiling something on the level of Would you Kindly or The Cake is a Lie.:eek:
If you’re someone who’s able to get past a game’s small quirks for the overall experience and you like a really deep story where you actually feel like you have an influence you can’t pass up Mass Effect. I’m done rambling now. EVERYONE GO BUY IT >.< GIVE TO BIOWARE YOUR EARTH MONIES.
Next to speachless i knew bioware was good but…

O.O Mass Effect is a triumph. I’m making a note here: Huge success. It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction.
I am going to state this as simply as I can, so that I don’t overstate it. Mass Effect may very well be the greatest video game I have ever played. I played it for 6 hours straight last night, I never do stuff like that. If you even remotely like science fiction then you are going to go frackin nuts when you play this game. To me, there would be no better reason than this game to buy an XBOX360.

On the posative side some of there other titles were moved to PC after the initial contract, was over so chances are you’ll eventually get to play
For more imediate gatification, you could Just go to a buddies place and cheat bribe or steal there X360 for a time and rent the game.
Yeah, I know; both Jade Empire and KOTOR were initially released on the XBox and then on the PC a few months later. I haven’t heard but I assume that Mass Effect will follow the same pattern. It’s just a bit frustrating when everyone else is talking about the game now then later when you get to play it and try to talk about it everyone else is pretty much “meh, yeah it was good” and that is about it.
Well I just beat Mass Effect with a level 41 Engineer I must say it has a wonderful story and I am already now waiting for the next lol. I didn’t get any of the Ally achievements for some reason I must of not completed a “Majority” of the game at all so eventually I might pick up a guide to be able to get those achievements. I would comment on the story but doing so would ruin it as Kasey said but you have a 360 and enjoy scifi like all of us do then you should buy this game.
For those that don’t have a ton of time for video games don’t despair like I said i got to level 41 and easily completed the game and only clocked in about 22 hours.
Picked this up today and played for about 3 hours. I’m absolutely speechless. Wow.

Yes, I just beat the game as a level 45 male soldier-paragon, and in about 27 hours. I am going to take a break from it and play again in a few weeks, but this time on the hardest difficulty as a female infiltrator-renegade. My only gripe about this game is that when you fully understand the combat system and all the tricks to it, you will steamroll right through the enemies. Still it was a incredible game; one that I look forward to replaying more slowly.

Seriously, I spent many a happy day reading through the rule books for various wargames. Good times. Never needed to play the games after I had ingested the rules.

The only thing I hate so far is the fact that, if you accidentally select a previously-chosen line of conversation, you can’t skip it. You have to continue to watch them run through the dialog again.
