Fantastic. It was quite obviously nonsense, but still stranger things have happened. I basically bought an xbox for Mass Effect, I really didn’t want to have to buy a PS3 as well.

The screen then showed that Mass Effect would have a release date of holiday 2011, right alongside the Elder Scrolls V. Though no platforms were mentioned, the EA Store leak had the game as being released for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
My main character is mostly Paragon, mostly. I’m not saying I want others to die but what Liara and I have is special. :o It’s the kinda love that lasts several lifetimes and anything that tries to threaten that, friend or foe, is going down! 
After all, ME is first and foremost a love story.

I figure there’ll need to be at least a few new characters, though maybe they’ll only show up to replace holes in your team from losses in the first two games (i.e. maybe Kal’Reegar or another Quarian if you lost Tali).
Oh, and if the specific example I gave is the case, I’ll need to make sure to kill off Tali so I can have a Sheppard/Miranda/Kal’Reegar squad. 
Maybe our team is split up to try alerting governments to the Reaper threat and you pick them back up as you build up the coalition to deal with the attack on Earth.
That would be an awesome team. I’d have to make a new character for that play through though, “Chuck Shepard”. Although I’m pretty sure that both Tali and Kal’Reegar can die. In that case you’d need yet another back up. I really hope that Kal’Reegar will be a squad member. I can’t imagine that they’d hire someone like Adam Baldwin for what was a essentially a small part in ME2.
Claudia Black had a small part too remember? But, she had a major role in Dragon Age. Something similar could be in store for Baldwin, as in having a major role in Dragon Age 2. But, I liked Kal’Reegar too. Just never know with Bioware.
Fair point. I’d be ok with that though. Of course another option is that one Claudia Black’s characters (I think she played a couple of people) in ME2 will have a bigger role in ME3. Continuing this line of though, Captain Bailey was a reasonably small part in ME2. I wonder if we’ll get more of Col Tigh in either ME3 or DA2.
Just Miranda was enough reason to have my first ME2 playthrough be Chuck Sheppard. 
The only way I see the Reapers getting on Earth is if they completely over took earth’s defense fleet or if most of the fleet was somewhere else, protecting the citadel maybe.
Remember the full CGI trailer they did for ME2 of the Collectors attacking Horizon? How that didn’t happen till a little bit into the game makes me wonder if this is the same thing. I honestly don’t want Earth to be the final battle location…
Dude they’re reapers. 1 Reaper took out the CITADEL defense fleet, there’s no chance the Earth Defense Fleet can take on a bunch of them

In a world where warrior races and millions upon millions cannot stop a race of superpowerful sentient machines, one man and a ragtag group of aliens and synthetics will probably find a way to stop them. More or less by themselves. And maybe some quarians. Would’ve been nice to have a FEW MILLION KROGAN, but whatever.

I have been thinking the same thing since I first saw their reveal at the end of ME2.
I think things are going to be bad in ME3, real bad. There were 8-10 in London alone and they mentioned many cities were being attacked. IMO, even if Shepard gathers all currently known forces in the galaxy together they won’t be able to destroy them with force alone. I think there will be a “horcrux” like plot device (something we know don’t know about that will be the key to victory) that will be the main objective for the game. You will need the get the assistance or intimidate others to solve or gather it. Just an idea.
Lets not forget that the Reapers are not here for humans, they want to harvest everyone. What if one of Shepard’s decisions is whether or not to sacrifice Earth in order to save others? That would be truly epic!
That may be a very cool scene, very Titan A.E too. I wonder how many there are. If it’s just earth being attack or multiple planets and we have to pick one?

I’m looking forward to this. I have three saves for ME 1 and 2. One is full paragon, one full renegade, and finally, one is just for the fun of it, making the choices I think I would. Vastly different games.
Yeah, if it’s like other Bioware titles, Sheppard is a Reaper, though one with a fatal design flaw, that will win the day by sacrificing his life.
Guarantee you that Star going nova early and dark energy or whatever Tali mentions is the trump card, further I bet we have the option of blowing up Sol to kill all/a lot of the reapers
