Mass Effect 2 Spoilers Thread

Seems like we’re less worried about spoilers for this game than DA:O, but this thread could be handy.

Do you feel like throwing your controller on the ground as you watch the Normandy being crapped on! I think I am taking this worse than the Enterprise in ST3 or Galactica! This was MY ship damnit!

Why not use the spoiler thread?

I know what you mean rooster

it was likie ‘oh yeah you were a total bad ass in the first one, but you got got owned without being able to do anything about it!’

just got my new ship now and did some exploring before I logged for the night

Becuae I didn’t want to see any spoilers that were past the begginning! Duh!

Here it is, my first question about ME2.

I don’t know yet if a lot of you have actually played enough to anwser this question but since this game can be played in a lot of ways I’ll take my chance.

I started the game and got the Normandie, my fisrt stop was OMEGA were I recruited the professor ( I don’t remember is name yet, it was so late) and started the quest for ArchAngel while exploring before setting sail to the Citadel.

I was wondering if anybody came across Liara yet. She was my love interest in the ME1 and I want to find her as soon as possible. I tought she was on OMEGA because that’s where the Comic Book that come with the special edition is set. I did not found her tought.

So, anybody knows?

I was tempted to throw my controller down more at the fact that the cut scene kept getting interrupted by slow…leisurely…walking thru space and fire to rescue joke.

I thought it was pretty cool. I thought, “Why am I moving so slow?”, then I looked up and saw the bulkhead completely open to space and thought “Dammm”. I realized I had to be magnetically attached “First Contact style, baby!” and was impressed with the detail they put in.

It was tough letting Liara go. I was worried they would frak with me and let the escape pods get destroyed. I love you Liara!!! :o

Joker is too awesome this time!

Also, how awesome is it that I have a Scottish engineer and a mission to find some Brandy?

“The Man” said Liara was working for the Shadow Broker. I think if we just play the storyline everything will happen in its own time. I am not far yet but we may not even be able to get to her early on, as much as we would like to.

That’s silly. I merged threads.

How dare you judge us, Mr. I’ll be playing with my 2600 while you guy play the greatest game ever. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yar’s Revenge is still the greatest game EVAH!

Oh yeah, James T. Kirk modeled his whole career after Commander Shepard. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t think I have ever been so emotionally attached to a game. How could anyone play this without going thru the first?

Everyone who survives due to your choices returns. But whoever your favorite romantic character may be, they have to break your heart in the sequel. It’s not Shephard’s fate to be monogamous in the sequel although celibacy remains a path.

Be sure to “talk to Liara later” and do what she asks of you. No renegade points for doing so I think. It won’t seem like at it at first, but she has good reason for being preoccupied. She reveals one of Shepard’s likely future adversaries in Mass Effect 3. This is definitely a trilogy, all the seeds were well placed at the very beginning.

It’s not that I want to be that much with Liara but, as Uchiha said, it’s the first time a game get me so emotionally involved.

My first play trough of ME is as myself. I don’t pay attention of the paragon/renegade thing, I just choose what my guts say’s. This being said, if I was in a tube for 2 years, I would like to get laid and that’s why I would have like Liara to be my first stop.

Hey after 20 hours of play I still did not came across her so I’m just cruising my Personnal Aid. LOL

“I am the very model of a scientist salarian…” - funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time. I’ve got to get a recording of that. I really like Mordin, he’s now one of my favourite characters. Although with a name like that, I keep expecting him to ask me ‘What do you want?’

Mordin reminds me of a hyper Rodney McKay, that can also fight.

Joker is hilarious this time, always cracks me up.

Funniest thing was an advertisement in the Citadel for Elcor performing Shakespeare.

Also when I hit that #!&$@ reported, AGAIN!!! Her face was all bloody and I was all happy.

and when my space hamster says, “squeeeek”.

just completed it!!!

EPIC!!

why cant mass effect 3 comes out soon???

I’ve been studying carbon freezing for the wait for ME3, I’m ready for a life test subject, would you be willing to volunteer
