I like the new look! I like the light screen at work, but I agree that I’m not sure how it’ll work with my eyes in the dark or for frak parties when trying to focus from tv to computer screen. I’d be interested if there was a way to change skins as someone suggested.

I’m actually working on a User Script right now intended for Frak Parties. My goal is to turn the forum in to more of a chat room-like UI (but still actually be the forum). Adjusting the colors as part of the user script would be pretty easy. I’ll see what I can come up with.
If you’re not familiar with User Scripts they are basically javascript files that are added to the webpage client-side. They don’t change anything on the server, only the page in your own browser once it’s received from the server. And they can then basically do anything javascript can do. In this case I’m trying to fetch new posts asynchronously (in the background), and append new posts to the top of the page automatically without a need to re-load the whole page. However, user scripts only work in Firefox with the Grease Monkey add-on or in Google Chrome (no add-on needed). The script is almost done, hopefully I’ll have something to try out soon. (Also, this is my first attempt at writing a user script, although I am a web application programmer. Just trying to write the script to manipulate a 3rd party system is a bit tricky…)
