If that had happened to me I think I’d have the same reaction. I already call them flying coffins
Sorry about the triple post. I keep finding interesting things further back!

Holy Crap that’s hot!! I don’t mean, like, in the way that Tory is hot.
I heard it was 20 deg F at Disney World on Thursday. That’s pretty darn cold for Mickey Mouse.
Here in Mickey world we have had some of the coldest temperatures in years. I think it is just so when it gets in the high 90s F and 100% humidity we will appreciate it. You would think the big Mouse would have more control over the weather.
When I complained that it was extremely cold in my classroom the last few week they said do not worry it is warming up soon. The schools can not even pay for the electricity to warm my room up. I had on a T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, jacket, and some days a sweatshirt on and still was not warm in the room. BUDGET CUTS WILL KILL ME. Ok I am better now. It should not get lower than 40 next week and get in to the 70s so I should be warm enough. They set the aircondisionting way high to save electricity too so soon we will have 80 degrees in the room.
Please come visit the Mouse so Florida can have some money for the schools. Mickey is real nice, or NASA, beaches or even me.
It’s insane that you guys and the UK are snowed under, northern Queensland is so flooded that they are shipping in supplies and the army is doing air drops, and we have been sweltering. All the trees are dropping their leaves and fruit crops have been completely lost. The weather has gone crazy.
Man, that is harsh. How are the kids supposed to concentrate? The kids here are having the opposite problem no air conditioning on 40+ days makes it very hard to concentrate.
You’re not missing much
Now I am sick too. Painful coughing.
Dog bites must be registered in case the dog must be labeled aggressive. Home insurance to the dogs restrictions can change due to a bite. I am glad the wife is OK.
Oh dude! I’m sorry. I’m so sick of coughing! I’m at the “almost passing out” stage of coughs. Frankly, I’m a bit worried about that.
I’ll be there soon.
Weather’s been unseasonably balmy in Iowa, so I can’t complain on the weather front.
But my child seems to have started teething in earnest. Ugh.
I have to protest living in Northern Canada in the middle of winter right now but the Fahrenheit crack makes me like you all the more sorry but the rest of the world is metric; besides 46 degrees C is really hardcore no wonder spiders eat birds down there… 46 C would make me do strange stuff too
Yep, I think many different varieties of foods might have cooked out there yesterday. I do really feel for you in the snow and ice though. I am a winter wuss. If I have to turn on the rear demister I think it’s cold
Thanks for supporting my push to make GWC metric!
I generally like the snow and winter to a point. maybe thats why I live up here in the north. and you live Down under. That being said the days its -40C is a bitch no matter how you look at it.
as for the GWC’s metric conversion viva la revolucion
-40C? That’s insane.
Uh oh, do you think we are starting another revolution a la the pantlessness?
I wish we would go to metric all of the time. See strangely metric is good enough for science but not for everyday life. So you have to teach conversion formulas etc. I like to teach it as this is freezing, this is boiling, and this is what poor Cackleberry is suffering with.
Way to much to do.
Converting from Celsius to Fahrenheit
Since the base point of freezing for Fahrenheit is set 32 degrees higher than Celsius. The first step in the formula is to subtract 32 degrees. The next step is to convert any degrees above or below 32 to Celsius.
A Celsius degree is larger than a Fahrenheit degree. It is exactly 9/5 greater, so that for every five degree increase in Celsius, there is a nine degree increase in Fahrenheit.
For example, to convert 10 degrees Celsius, multiply 10 by 9/5 and add 32. The result is 18 plus 32 = 50. In the same manner 20 C. equals 68 F. and 30 equals 86.
The formula is Fahrenheit = Celsius x 9 / 5 + 32.
Converting Fahrenheit to Celsius
The formula works similarly in for converting back to Celsius. Subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit reading and divide by 5/9. Make sure to subtract 32 before dividing, or you will end up with the wrong result.
For example, to in converting 50 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32 from 50 = 18 divided by 9 = 2 times 5 = 10 degrees Celsius.
During my search for a fun (sure) way of explaining the formula I got warnings on a virus on my Windows. I was suppose to go to a sight and down load some software. I have a Mac. Does anyone think something is strange here?
I would respectfully disagree with your conversion problem, Leah. I had thought that way as well for a long time. The thing is, as a culinary teacher was telling us, you’re not doing conversions in every day life. For example, once the change is made…0 is freezing, it doesn’t matter what it is in ferenheight(sp?).
Sheesh…hands over a beer
Thanks - I needed that!
Oh, lord, sweetie, when it rains it pours! I hope things get better soon!
