I’ve been watching the kids and/or working all weekend. I’ve been glancing at the boards, but I haven’t been able to really settle in, consume all the conversation about the new BSG episode, and think it through. I even fell asleep before I could watch the ep a second time (Friday and Saturday). It feels like I’m home missing the dance. Or writing a term paper while everybody else is at the biggest party ever.
At least I get to listen to the podcast later – as opposed to showing up late and hearing, “Oh, dude, Ron Moore was here! You totally missed it.”

The worse part actually came the next day. The road was closed off, and at the higher elevations, it was storming. My brother came to help me try to get the truck out, but we had to pull a sled in with about 40-60 pounds of equipment. Otherwise, the snow at that high of an elevation was only going to get worse, and who knows when I would have gotten it out. It took us all day dragging the sled and when I got there, some snowmobiler urinated on my driver side door, and wrote some pretty vulgar stuff on my truck. Thanks dude. BUT! We got the truck out! However, I think I am coming down with a pretty bad sore throat now. It could have been a lot worse though. And I finally saw the new BSG episode (thank the gods for hulu!).
BSG fans are everywhere. They are even wonderful. I am glad they were there for you.
The hubs had his weird stomach blockage/thingy going on again since supper last night (he sometimes gets a bit of food stuck between his stomach opening and the flipper that closes it) so I got to spend some quality time in the ER with him this afternoon. Of course, before the doc showed up, the blockage cleared itself and the hubs was fine. On the up side, the doc was super friendly and when he came through the curtain he said “So, since you fixed yourself, do you want me to do any expensive procedures on you?!!” 
I watched the Ravens game today. 
He wasn’t smoking as he said this, was he? 
My Lap top at home has decided to erase some of its system files…so that means it wont start…not even in safe mode. How i have to find my system disc and hopefully i can get the DVD driver to read and to a system restore. It looks like i might have to get a new computer sooner than later…sigh. How sad.
In a gravelly voice did he offer either one of you a “smoke”?
I got fired today, not made redundant, not “let go” but straight-up fired. Watched like a hawk by security as I removed my personal belongings, marched out of the office and told i was no longer welcome in or on company property.
My crime? Receiving and immediately deleting spam email. Everyone in the office gets the same problems, but it’s a handy excuse for a manager to use when removing a disliked member of staff, it means I can’t take them to court for unfair dismissal and discrimination.
If only I had kept the video from the christmas party where my manager spends 20 minutes talking about me, and that she was trying to find a way to fire me…
Oh, wait I did.
But wait…with their lame excuse for an excuse can you still use that video? I sure hope you can. Go get 'em!
The Naughtiest Monkey ouch I am really sorry! But I am betting there might a few laywers on this site that could help! so calling out to any good lawers and fight the power!
