Kings

While its not “Science Fiction” may I please recommend
Sunday Night on 8:00pm NBC while it lasts.
Low rating and high critical acclaim.
They are 2 episodes in both of which are available on HULU.

This is a very good allegory which is dark and character driven.
I suspect that Caprica will be very serious to this series in Style and tone.
Thanks for reading.

Kings is possibly the best show on tv right now. (now that BSG is done):frowning:

I think Ian McShane is Fantastic as King Silas. this show is worthy of checking out.

check out the pilot on Hulu… i even think comcast has it on demand for free as well as the NBC site for free…

check it out. let us know what you think.

This show keeps getting better and better. i still think its “kinda” Sci Fi. It being more of an alternate history of sorts. But it also feels like its kinda a little in the future as well. But i love the show.

I totally recommend this show due to it’s writing and acting. Ian McShane is been a favorite since Deadwood.

I agree he was great in Deadwood.

But have you ever seen Lovejoy ?

Check it out if you get a chance.

Just a heads up. Kings is moving to Saturdays at 8 effective April 18.

Just watched the first episode, Goliath Parts 1 & 2.
Really, really liked it. Yah, I’d say this is SciFi.

King Silas is a strong figure.
Butterflies? Signs of divine approval?
Ok, here we go, hope this last past 6 episodes.

Nope. I will look for it, and try it out. is it a movie or tv show?

my feeling exactly after the premiere episodes

Its absolutely brilliant, with story and acting on par with BSG at its best. The low ratings are giving me a fright but at least its not on fox. and there is the hope that it could fill the prestige roll in the NBC lineup. Now I haven’t seen anything past the premiere but will very soon. completely blown away.

everyone should be watching this show.

Lovejoy was a TV show.

from imdb - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090477/

Lovejoy is a loveable rogue and an antiques dealer with an amazing talent for spotting hidden treasures. When not looking for the odd collectible, Lovejoy spends most of his time using his con-artist skills to help out the less fortunate. His partners in crime are wealthy Lady Jane, his dim assistant Eric, and the genially intoxicated Tinker

Alas, I think the writing is on the wall for KINGS… so sad.

Have seen the first 5 episodes on Hulu. Keeps getting better. I’m hooked.

thats actually it till like June, the ratings were low so its comming back in the summer i hear

Al Swearingin…um…I mean Ian McShane was on the Jon Stewart show a while back and said they film a season’s worth of episodes, so they’re out somewhere.
I’m hooked too.

Glad to hear there’s more. June, nice.

woot
this show diserves a few seasons at least, it is very well done

I know the writing is first rate, the TV Exec’s just suck at when to put a show on the air, and then never count the internet play, Itunes, and Hulu.

really great show…hope they show teh rest of the eps

I do like the show. (And I love Ian McShane (big Deadwood fan that I am.)
I will admit that at times I felt a Pro Religion vibe to the show.
And that kinda creeps me out.

Is kinda wierd not hearing Ian McShane call everyone a c*cksucker

I know, LOL. I mentally hear him saying it as I watch Kings.
