Say what you will about Daybreak part one: However you read it, Lee was the only one who saw the pigeon. Coincidence? Was it just a pigeon?

Why a pigeon?
I think its just a pigeon to be honest.
I think it showed a different, angrier side of Lee. The impression I got was “I tried to let you out and broke the lamp, easier to just kill you”. Thats how I read his body language.
ok a pigeon is just a pigeon i think he was drunk. and it was just pigeon:D
I think the writers really frakked up by not making it a dove. Lee trying to kill a symbol of peace would have been so much more meaningful to the back story of his character. Instead, he’s trying to kill a flying rat.
This poll brought to mind the end of Blade Runner where Rutger Hauer was running around the rooftops in the rain with a dove in his hand. I remember thinking, “gee, I need a symbol. Here, let me pluck one off this rafter.”
Yeah - the writers have really screwed up BSG by having insufficient heavy handed symbolism.
David: "Hrm okay a poll… let’s read the options… … …‘head pigeon’. Huh.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ditto.
Baltar’s Dad
I wanted to vote Head Pigeon because I first read the “and all the entrails” in the parentheses. I voted other, because while I think it is just a pigeon it is a metaphore for something deeper. What that is, I can’t tell you until next weekend…
I voted for “just a pigeon” because the Head characters are getting a little out of hand. Could be a vision. But I hope it’s more just a sign of Lee’s frustration with his Caprica-era life. The pigeon, I hope, just symbolizes something that will become clearer later, rather than it being a manifestation of something spiritual or metaphysical.
The pidgeon is a cylon.
No kidding.
What Lee didn’t know – and couldn’t – is this: Only Head Lance can catch Head Pigeon.
Keep watchin’. It’ll all tie together soon.
And it has a Plan…
It’s the Harbinger of a supercool John Woo shootout scene.
the Perils of PeneLEE Pitstop?
Defiantly a baltar vote…and my first one to boot
I have to agree with Sean from the Podcast, the Pigeon in that scene is when Zack died. Notice how the first Lee flashback had Starbuck and Zack, and the second one he is alone. The Pigeon symbolism either the bringer of the new of Zack’s death, or Zack’s dead spirit itself.
